It's so exciting! I love that Euini is turned into this wolf, and then the villain is all you want him to turn back? Go right ahead, I'm not stopping you. Knowing that they *could* turn him back, but not without forbidden magic. I love that Richeh has bonded with him and yet she cannot be the one to save him because her magic isn't versatile enough. I love that this disaster is showing that more than the actual test did. I love what little we've seen of those golden people. People who have been alive for a *very* long time, as if turning them into these golden statues removed their mortality. Is Coco's mother conscious within the crystal? And again, turning them back is against the laws of this society. That Qifrey needs to get them out of this situation while he's so injured. *Because* of the injury. That if he wasn't injured if his cloak wasn't torn, he could hide pretending to be brushbuddies like Coco and Tetia can. There are just. So many plot threads. I am so curious about Qifrey's eye, because I have noticed that we don't see the one behind the sunglasses half of his glasses, and the way he grabbed Coco's hand when she went to touch the injury there. I am curious about why these brimmed hats are so obsessed with Coco in particular. It can't just be because she's a kid who happened to buy their picture book and is the only one who figured it out. Are there other kids they gave those picture books to? How many of those have figured things out. How many of them have been caught by the Knights Moralis and how many have joined the brimmed hats. I love that the conflict is between the pointed hats and the brimmed hats. I love that when you (the audience) think of a witch, you'd think of like a halloween one with that wide brimmed witch's hat. And yet in this world, the witches who wear those hats are the "bad" guys? The "good" guys have these pointed hats instead? But, the "good" guys have so much restriction. Information is kept secret, censorship whenever someone does find something out. You can't heal people because casting magic directly on a person is forbidden, but you can cast magic directly on someone if it's to remove their memories? How convenient that exception is for those in power. And yet it's not as easy as the brimmed hats secretly being the "good" guys because they are doing bad things. Changing people without their consent, all of the danger they're putting the girls in just to get to Coco. I am just. It's so messy and I am so so sooooo curious where this is going to go next.

Depending on where they go with the Euini plot thread, all the different layers to it you brought up could end up being the best thematic usage of "evil" magic in a magic setting that I've ever seen. Off the top of my head, most of the cases of this I've seen are at best ill-explained(The Dragon Prince), or arbitrary (Harry Potter). This is actually creating some specific narrative weight for several of the main characters that actually MEANS something, and the answer to the questions they're being asked is currently not obvious either to them or to the audience. I suspect the characters won't all have the same answer.
