The knight guy on the villains' side is the superpowered imaginary version of the game store manager from Season 2's "But I Have A Receipt". Mordecai and Rigby spent the episode trying to get a refund for a tabletop RPG they didn't enjoy, and he eventually dragged them INTO the game, using his DM powers to fight them/try to convince them the game was actually fun. If memory serves, I think Mordecai stabbed him in the chest with a yardstick. He SAID he was fine, but...
