detective pinkie pie episodes actullay happen one in season 2 and one in season 7. the season 7 is better,in my opinion. depressed pinkie,or as the fandom refers to her pinkamenia,aprees again in a season 8 episode.

I don't like this one. I hate these kinds of surprise birthday party episodes. I don't think it's ever worth the birthday person spending their entire day thinking all their friends hate them. It's actually kinda lucky that Pinkie Pie forgot it was her birthday, because it especially hurts to think all your friends don't care about you on your birthday. And for what? So the party planners can see the look of surprise on the birthday person's face? The birthday person has to be sad so that their friends can see them make a face? Just tell them you're throwing them a party. If there really must be a surprise, let it be the details. And then the message of this episode is that it's the *birthday person* who was wrong here? No! If people are acting like they hate you, it's not unreasonable to think that they hate you. It's not jumping to the worst conclusions. Pinkie Pie may have taken it a little far with thinking her friends decided all of a sudden to not be friends anymore, usually it's just thinking your friends forgot your birthday. But still, if your friends don't acknowledge your birthday in any way whatsoever, it's reasonable to be upset about your birthday being forgotten. The friends are the ones sneaking around and lying, why the heck are we blaming the birthday person for being upset about that? Ugh, this one really hit a nerve.
