Dalton Miller

"La Llorona" is "The Weeping Woman". As a creature of folktales, her origin stories are many, but the end result is that she wanders the backwoods of Mexico at night, drowning the little boys and girls whose soft hearts, exceeding bravery, or innocent curiosity draws them to the sound of her mournful wailing. It's both fascinating and DEEPLY alarming that the Maryland public library system seems to have one of their own.
