Haha. Not my request, but I remember the deal: some overwrought teen melodrama that was on TV at the time had a character writing to his sister when he is killed out of nowhere by another character with a gun. The same music played, same shocked glances back, etc. It was so inexplicable that SNL chose to parody it and then exaggerate it as far as possible, having the killing happen multiple times, then having the music reset with each bullet, and finally, having both cops, somehow, shoot each other in the back, at the same time, complete with overlapping music.
