Hey Everyone, here is the Weekly Development Log to talk about all the progress made in the last 7 days, it's been a pretty busy week for me I think I had a 16 hour work day on Friday due to having to keep up with everything else, anyways here goes

So the thing I've been focusing on mostly is the "Detective Vision" method, there's quite a lot of thing's you can interact with in the overworld and they will either be for environment or story reasons but also for puzzle solving, i figured that it might not always be obvious what you could interact with so I made Detective Vision, this Pings the area and briefly shows you Objects you can interact with, this was added mostly to stop people getting lost or not sure what to do, to make it so it isn't spammed constantly it's on a cooldown timer, I think i will go into more detail later in the week so I can actually show you all

Another thing, pretty basic was I wanted certain sounds (in this case loud vibration sounds) to be proximity based and play only when the player was close to them, these can be used anywhere and will in a sense be used to build atmosphere and also guide/Warn the player

Another basic thing, it now displays a banner in the top left when you enter a new area, not really much to say about this just good a good QoL Implement to stop the player getting lost

Another big change is the Item Combination menu, i didn't want to have Items be too complicated for this game, so they are sorted into 2 parts, Materials and Key Items, Key items are things like keys or tools that are obviously used only once for a specific goal, but there are also materials which can sometimes be combined to solve a puzzle or for a number of reasons, still working on how to make it more obvious what items can be combined and i think they best way will be to use the border backgrounds

Regarding the Escape System, I've added in some more Restraints but not Implemented in the spritework yet, there's quite a lot of them right now so it's going to get some time to get all the sprites finished, i really want to show this off since its quite in depth but it will need to have its own post so maybe Later in the week

The rest has been more of the same, more talking animations (which i will also show off in its own post sometime in the future) and also one of the most time consuming tasks, which has been making the floor and wall tiles, since they all need to loop perfectly it has been pretty had getting these all right, what I have at the moment looks good but getting there took some effort, and lots more are needed

One Final Note, a lot of people are asking if this will be available on mobile, and the answer is Yes but eventually as i will need to look into how best to port it, however with the engine I'm using its completely doable and might not even need much changing, however Porting to mobile i might need to re implement in some alternate ways of working the mechanics due to technical limitations of mobile devices (i.e no buttons to press )

That's all for now, I'm going to work really hard to get the demo finished, hopefully by the end of the month, stay tuned
