Its Been quite the Busy week for me, there's a lot to go over so I will paraphrase a bit here

First off, i changed the main characters outfit, there were some issues with the old one which would have made releasing this game hard on certain platforms, this one i think might be a little better though i love boob windows so it all worked out for the best

I Also re designed one of the escape Minigames, The Tape Minigame just didn't really seem all that fin or engaging so i replaced it with what was the rope minigame and then made a new rope minigame, i have said this quite a bit but i am going to show off this escape system soon so keep your eyes on my page. Another thing i felt was missing was juice or Game Feel so I Juiced them up quite a bit

And also regarding the Escape system i added in something called DiD mode, if you know this games influence this might make sense but the escape minigames can be quite engaging, so I added in DiD mode which makes them a bit less engaging/stressful while also retaining all the restraint scaling, more details on this soon

I also juiced up the menu's and added in a whole section explaining how to actually escape, there's a tutorial script which helps on your first escape but this was needed since the system is quite in depth

I previously made a sound system which played an audio track in the background and the closer you got, the louder it was, but I have now added in the ability for that same audio track to trigger animations on events, you will see what i mean in game soon hopefully what this is used for

Shadows, most of the shadows I have are hand drawn, as in I am actually making the shadows in the sprite sheets themselves but for the player this proved somewhat difficult, My original method had a player sized shadow facing in a south east direction which mirrored the players actual hand and leg movement, however the damn engine cannot for the life of it draw shadows underneath the wall tiles without a crazy amount of programming, i thin it could be a limitation of the engine but for now I have opted for generic blob shadows which can be added to the player or the NPC's Enemies, i may work again on this later though if i get some extra time

I added in some rooms to the overworld and made them look all populated and atmospheric, TC7 (spoiler) and Prison Cell No 2, its been really fun designing the rooms, ive been making all my custom wall and tile sprites so making them have their own unique but fitting look has been challenging but also kind of fun

Final notes, while updating all the old character busts i did some minor fixes and color correction and added in a few more, but the big thing i am working on is the animated Intro Cutscene which will be pretty great when it's finished

That's all for now, I'm not going to waffle on because in a few days I will be showing off some of the Escape System along with some basic videos/gifs, still hopefully on track to get the Demo out before the comic series finishes, fingers crossed
