Well here's another busy week for me but with good news, The Demo will be officially releasing on October 2nd, I'm in the process of doing all the final testing and bug fixes for the developed build right now in fact but here's what I've been doing for the week leading up to that

So i noticed a lot of the sound effects (i think there's around 40 variants) didn't sound quite right in the prison cell section so i re mixed them to add an echo and make them sound more like they fit in the environment, there's also the non echo versions for cutscenes and VN segments also

I made an escape theme, its more a Vaporwave cover of something you might recognise, or at the very least i sampled the main riff quite a bit, it's fairly fitting but might make some changes when the game officially releases

On that note i had to manually sort out all the looping for all of these tracks I made in audacity, you might not realise it but perfectly cross fading all the wave forms and then adding the samples into the metadata is a lot more time consuming than you might think, the result is the tracks and the atmosphere all loop seamlessly back to earlier without the build up at the start, I also added in some more atmospheric tracks, these aren't too hard to make in FL studio so i made about 6 total I think, not all are used in the demo though

Another thing, i added in a "How to Escape" Section to the Escape setting on the Main Menu, its more a 7 page guide with some Chibi art on all intricacies or rules for escaping from restraints, ironically you wont see this until AFTER you have escaped but there's the escape tutorial in the beginning anyways so got that covered, this is more something that might come in handy when the main game is released

Another thing, I uploaded a 3 minute clip of the escape system turned up fairly high so you could see some of the animations (link here) and hear the escape theme, i guess sort of a gameplay trailer, anyways in that I noticed some of the animations looked a little off, or at least some of the lighting did for certain frames, might seem silly but when your putting a whole game together lack of sleep can sometimes cause you to miss glaringly obvious things that what you look at in sony vegas you might be all "how the hell did i mess that?" well I ended up going over all of them and fixing all the colour coding and lighting, i knows there's probably tonnes more I've missed elsewhere but ill find them and iron them all out eventually

Last Point, the Demo is pretty much finished I'm just testing everything and getting it ready for release, even have the Itch.io page set up more or less but its still in private so inaccessible, All i can say now is i hope you all enjoy this when it relapses on Friday, that's all for now, after the demo is out i will look into some other things such as a version and steam and also a mobile port while i work on the rest of the game
