Scott Tobias and Tasha Robinson have just about fully recovered from their respective weeks spent at the Toronto International Film Festival, where they each saw 28 films. Even more impressive than the quantity of movies they saw, though, is the overall quality of those movies — both of them place it at or near the top of their multiple TIFF experiences, and Scott maintains that this year's fest included many established filmmakers' flat-out best films ever. Tasha can't quite agree with him there, because he's Scott and they have to disagree about something! But mostly they do agree on the films they both saw at TIFF, and have gotten together to talk over some of the highlights that we know are going to be landing in cinemas soon. So click on through for spoiler-free chat about Rian Johnson's Knives Out, Bong Joon-Ho's Parasite, Noah Baumbach's Marriage Story, Todd Phillips' Joker (which we'll be discussing more in-depth on an upcoming podcast), Marielle Heller's A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood, and more.
