Does the new El Camino, a sequel that picks up in the moments after the end of the 2013 Breaking Bad series finale, feel like an actual movie, or like a few lost episodes of the dearly departed series? That turns out to be a point of contention among Scott, Tasha, and Genevieve, who got together following El Camino's Netflix debut to discuss what worked and what didn't about Vince Gilligan's highly secretive, highly referential continuation of Jesse Pinkman's story. Together we dig into El Camino's flashback structure and liberal use of cameos, what the passage of time has (or hasn't) changed about our appreciation of these characters, how touching it was to watch Robert Forster reprise his Breaking Bad role on the same day he died, and, most importantly, how happy were were to see Skinny Pete (Skinny Pete!) get his moment to shine.
