Switching Channels: The Mandalorian (Patreon)

All of us here at The Next Picture Show are pretty enamored ofThe Mandalorian, the first live-action Star Wars television series, and not just because we can't stop making little heart eyes at The Child. (Don't call him Baby Yoda, please, for Keith's sake.) So all four of us convened after the third episode of the new Disney+ series to discuss what makes this a different sort of Star Wars story, how the series is playing into and against the traditions of both westerns and samurai films, and which details of this particular corner of the Star Wars universe have stood out to us (aside from Baby Y— er, The Child).
