The Lobby: The Best Directors and Films of the 2010s (Patreon)

Better late than never, right? It took Scott and Keith a couple of months to settle on their respective lists of the best directors and films of the last decade, but they've finally committed to their choices and we have the super-sized bonus episode to prove it. First they share their respective (unranked) lists of their top five directors of the 2010s, plus some bonus picks who made a splash too late (or too infrequently) in the decade to meet their criteria. Those filmmaker lists serve as a preview for the second half of their discussion, a quick-fire comparison of their (ranked) choices for the best films of the decade. How frequently do their picks overlap? Well, Keith and Scott have been watching and talking about movies together for well over a decade, so a fair bit. But they both manage to throw some curveballs in there as well. Check it out, and if you want to see Keith's illustrated top 30 films of the decade list, you can find the Twitter thread he mentions in the episode here.
