Slippin' Jimmy is back, and so are Genevieve, Keith, and Scott to talk about the return of Better Call Saul, a Breaking Bad prequel (with a smattering of sequel thrown in) that's as near and dear to our hearts as that original series. Season five of the AMC drama finds Bob Odenkirk's Jimmy McGill fully embracing the Saul Goodman moniker and character, and Better Call Saul creeping ever closer to the Breaking Bad timeline, which makes this a good time to consider what makes Saul distinct from its parent series. Naturally that means a good bit of discussion about Rhea Seehorn's Kim Wexler, one of the increasingly few Saul characters whose fate we don't know. But with the introduction of another major Breaking Bad character to this season (spoiler alert for episodes 3 and 4), we also have to reckon with Saul's many, many connections to its predecessor, and the question of whether we're pushing up agains the boundaries of the Breaking Bad Extended Universe. Check it out, and if you're craving more Kim content afterwards, be sure to read our pal Jen Chaney's in-depth examinations of Kim Wexler as a character, and as the owner of the best ponytail on television

YAY I love TV...more than movies! Moar TV. The New Pope is *EVERYTHING*. Better Call Saul is right behind it. The last season of Schitts Creek, which will better with a huge, hilarious wedding. Looking forward to watching Dispatches from Elsewhere and Queen Sono. I liked Mythic Quest okay and recently started Miracle Workers, which is better than it should be. Also had McMillions and Slow Burn for "True Crime" stories that aren't some guy murdering women. Very interested in TV recs, as you mentioned at the top, it's a desert out there.
