The response to Christopher Nolan's Tenet has been a diffuse one, spread out over several months as the film made its way from international viewers to those willing to brave theaters in the U.S. and finally to home viewers via a digital and home-video release. It's definitely a different context in which to consume and consider a film that in normal times would have likely taken over the cultural conversation for at least a solid week or two, but aside from that, is there anything here that feels very different for Nolan? Tasha and Keith got together to hash out their reactions to Tenet and where they stand on Nolan's work in general at this point, and try to make some sense of the film's plot — or, failing that, come to terms with the plot's more nonsensical elements. Spoilers lie ahead, so if you haven't checked out Tenet yet, make sure you do that before hitting play, and share your thoughts on the film in the comments so we can keep this drawn-out Tenet discussion going!
