We have arrived at the conclusion of the #ReleasetheSynderCut saga with the release of Zack Snyder's four-hour version of the DC universe team-up film Justice League, originally released in 2017 as a Joss Whedon-completed version that few liked, including us. Given that, and given their lukewarm feelings toward Snyder overall, Keith and Scott were both surprised to find this Justice League as enjoyable as they did. That's not to say the film is without its problems, not all of which can be laid at Snyder's feet — though some of them certainly can. In this not-especially-spoiler-y discussion, Keith and Scott get into what worked, what didn't, and to what extent any of it matters in the larger discussion of the DCEU and Snyder's place within it.

I haven't yet listened to this episode, but I eagerly await the two-hour Robinson cut of it in 2025.

This will be the fifth podcast I've listened to discuss Zach Snyder's Justice League. I'm going to end up spending more time listening to podcasts about this movie than I did watching it. And that's saying something!

Re: Suicide Squad "That might've been one of my most miserable movie going experiences." Of course it was, you were watching Suicide Squad.
