The Lobby: The Mitchells vs. the Machines (Patreon)

We tried mightily to concoct a pairing for the main podcast centered on Netflix's The Mitchells vs. the Machines, but ultimately failed, in part because it's more a grab-bag of references than a direct homage to any one thing, and in part because the Lord and Miller-produced film's sensibility is so of-the-moment, in terms of both its thematic underpinnings and its gleefully chaotic tone. But Scott, Genevieve, and Tasha were all fans of the film (to varying extents), so they convened to discuss what about The Mitchells' sugar-rush sensibility appealed to them, what makes the movie's animation style  interesting, if not universally appealing, and some of the many, many other films that came to mind while we were watching.
