It's tough to talk about our complete reactions to Knock at the Cabin without getting into the ending and how it deviates from the film's source material, but Scott, Keith, and Tasha do their best in the spoiler-free first half of their discussion of M. Night Shyamalan's latest. And there is plenty about the movie to discuss outside of its ending, from Dave Bautista's confident, controlled performance to how its religious themes and disciplined style fit into Shyamalan's filmography. Everyone is generally in agreement this is a flawed but compelling film, but the ending is where opinions deviate most strongly, which means we have to get into it, spoilers — for Knock at the Cabin as well as the 2018 novel on which it's based — be damned. So give a listen once you've seen the movie, and be sure to check out Tasha's recent Polygon piece for more on how the film reshapes its source material.

I’m not sure if it qualifies as a “twist” in the sense where it’s a “revelation that alters your understanding of what went on before”, but I do think there’s a subversion in the film that did catch me off guard given this has the trappings of a home invasion thriller. Normally, either the invaders kill those whose domicile they are invading or the residents kills the invaders (or some combo of the two). When the “invaders” start (collectively) killings themselves, it was a subversion of genre which, while not on the level of “he was dead the whole time” did somewhat scratch the same itch.
