Cjack PVP

Thanks for the chapter! 🥳

Thransk

Rain experiencing the pains of timezones is peak Rain problems. Just be grateful cities and countries can't change their timezones unlike the real world.

Draugluir

Thanks for the chapter. Least satisfying duel ever though 😅

*sparing -sparring. First typo I've found in a while, goodness. Fun chapter. Just a cute, eventful time with laughs and nonsense. The moment with the announcer definitely got me. Rain is really gonna have to get Ethereal Helm at some point. It only requires mana sight which he plans on getting anyways. Walking around with a totally enclosed helmet might look weird, but takes care of like the only weak point he has when armored up. Add it to the neverending list of skills to unlock. He might snag it when he's platinum, at this rate.

tibbish

Not getting to see Rain really beatdown that lady was a bit disappointing. That was a opportunity to see how well he does against someone who is technically about as strong as him in some ways.

L Pedersen

I thought so too at first but we know what happened, Rain stood there and filled the arena with fulmination. Even if SS had detailed the fight for us it could have been over in as little as half a page.

Chrones

Isn't chocolate also a bean thing? I guess we have more bean based ice-cream than I thought

Starless

Rain has continuously described the color and feel of other people's souls without ever mentioning what his own looks/feels like. Also I'm kinda surprised we didn't get any word from Dozer in this or the previous chapter. Dozer is usually pretty chatty when the heightened emotional state of combat kicks in. ...Was he really THAT upset about the shitstorm incident?

Ziggy

They probably don't even have Daylight Savings. I'll take monsters spawning in my basement for that trade.

Minitiative

NGL, "You can't dodge Rain" made me burst out laughing. That is a hilarious catch phrase. It's so incredibly cheesy, borderline chuuni-tier, that I'd love for it to actually get used at some point in a semi-serious fashion.

Does the epub link ever work for anyone?

Starless

A better solution would be to further refine his Detection topological minimap. upgrading it to a digital 'monitor' in front of his eyes would let Tallheart designe a completely enclosed helm. Rain very rarely needs to aim at anything or perform fine motor movements, so the very basic 3-d rendering of his surroundings would be sufficient for most situations. Upgrading his sensor suite like this would also make Rain immediately aware of invisible enemies, as his detection pulses will return an image of the person's soul, but no visible body.

Velika has been conked out for at a couple weeks now right? I'm starting to think someone needs to take her a legit healer in the city while they still can. Considering how the device drills into a person's brain, having it forcibly extricated in a split second could not have been good for her, nevermind whatever soul fuckery the warden did after the removal.

Louis Nel

Pdfs broken for anyone else?

Zarik0

Noice little chapter So Luca or wathever was bring into the table of negociation just like that without much mention? what about the progress for the ship or other thing where he used to make pressure and the move he have done? :)

Cirvante

Typo: "The wards felt just as impenetrable to his probing those on the Bank’s vault" <- should be 'as those'.

Gyoshi _

We don't know yet what "recruiting" Ameliah is planning, right?

Conor McGroarty

Author calling out a specific reader (or readers) with that “checking the math while taking into account different time zones” thing? Seems like it is to me.

Conor McGroarty

Since Tallheart wanted to go there, should be the Cervidian enclave Tallheart and Snowlily set up. Most likely it is set up in a Delving below the surface.

Cirvante

Another typo: "Atyl and I getting close to a deal with him" <- 'Atyl and I are getting'

Cirvante

What are you talking about? That was a total power move. My only complaint is that he wasn't t-posing at her while doing it.

Doodlyboy15

Fun stuff, thanks for the chapter!

Blind

Fun chapter but, as previously, I'm not a fan of cutting action scenes off right in the middle of it. They're already rare.

Gardor

Who wants to read a duel between the main character and a silver plate guild leader when we could read about the MC musing about how accurate his system clock is?

Ziggy

Just realized because of RR comments that Jarro is likely not mind controlled. He'd fight the Empire even if he wasn't being brainwashed, the Warden would have a harder time justifying brain raping one of the few "good" Citizens, not to mention any future scenes we get of the Warden will likely be more interesting if there's a someone else nearby instead of a mind clone. Someone like Jarro.

Forrest Minter

On the other hand, the warden seems to have a specific plan in mind, and while Jarro could probably be trusted to fight the empire, that's a very different thing from being trusted to perfectly follow the wardens plan.

Adunk

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel the level 4 aura skills revealed so far are... well, probably fairly strong but still underwhelming compared to what I expected.

Veritas Dolor

idk, if you think about it they all have pretty significant implications anchors break range limit and can work basically like nukes, planetary range disaster that Rain plants simply by hiding small crystal thing somewhere, same with utility, Rain can buff and protect ppl not even being on the same continent overgrowth at least doubles effective hp of everyone, it remains to be seen if cap rises with lvl (in which case we can see reasonable growth to 3,5 max hp over 15 lvls, or downright insane 15x). That should be worth a ton on melees that have insane hp by high strength and skills buffing it, and the fact effect persists and is applied over an area means Rain can make an army of silvers/golds at least twice as hard to kill once, and they will use that lets say sixth months later, taking by surprise some other army unity also should work on multiple parties, so Rain using it can cover vast area and empower quite many ppl, and Rains bears the cost for all shared spells, so with his build it means unlimited spamming of mana-cost spells for everyone, it may also synergise with anchors to allow Rain to borrow/lend skills over vast distances, which would be crazy

Marwolaeth

Honest question, WHO is giving this book a thumbs down still?? Why is it always a consistent percentage???

Starless

Probably the same guys that post angry rants on Reddit after each chapter.
