Never Whistle At Night is a collection of indigenous peoples short horror stories, it’s really good.

🩷

i do but it's really gross and fucked up and disturbing

✨Ames✨

Also does this mean we can get a spoopy month audio where you channel Lestat from IWTV pretty please 🥺 👉👈

Oh Mr! I've got a ton, but here are three I absolutely loved: The Silent Patient, The Butterfly Garden, and The Outsider, 'cause it's Halloween season and Stephen King is a definite yes! Enjoy!

i dunno if u mean for audios or in general. but i can’t get myself to finish ‘ tender is the flesh’ bc it’s creeps me out :o it’s dystopian but scary for me

it's called 8 days for salvation but TW🫶🏻

Asylum by Madeleine Roux still creeps me out. It’s the one that has photos of actual asylums 😳 didn’t make it past the first 5 chapters

Liz

I think it’s more like a mystery/ supernatural fiction but Mexican gothic is really great. It was a little scary for me but I’m a spooky lite type of girl

I feel like u should read It by Stephen King, or Mary by Nat Cassidy. Both r so different & both r … kind of dense but I think if u go at a slow but steady pace you’ll b just fine! Horror has the best range, from one extreme to the other.

Meru-chan

Does manga count? 😅 Mieruko-chan- ghost scary The summer hikaru died- sci fi scary King of thorn- sci fi/psychological scary Monster- psychological scary Tales of the unusual- manwha webtoon short stories

Meru-chan

Is this inspo for another slow burn horror series? 🙏👀

Jes

I just finished reading Plant Lady. It's a psychological thriller if that's your thing 😊 It's set in South Korea about a lady who owns a plant shop & how she deals with men who've mistreated other women. It's a pretty good book & it's only about 200 pages long.

Not me secretly taking notes/ adding things to my cart

oooo I recently started reading The Silent Companions! would make a dope movie or mini series. Nocturnes by John Connolly is also good. it’s a series of short stories that left me unsettled hehehe had to stop a few times cuz it makes me super scawed @_@

KKB

Stephen King has a few books that are collections of short horror stories! Happy October 🍻 Im reading A Sunless Sea by Anne Perry right now

Hey I also feelin the spooky sooo maybey spooky audio yee? Also my favorite horror author is swedish so I dunno if many of his books is translated to english ):

Sami

That depends, are we talking spicy romance horror oooorrr??? 👀 😅😅

LexiAngel91

A part 2 audio using last year’s Halloween storyline with the daughter’s friend dressed as a fairy 🧚🏻‍♀️ would be AMAZING. She only got to lesson 1! 😜 👻 🎃

Sami

In that case, because I always need romance even in spooky genres, The Imaginary Friend’s Obsession by Skyla Gray, Deaths Bloom by Lily Mayne (MM), The Fabric of our Souls by K.M. Moronova (this one was actually so good) 👻

M

The Butterfly Garden is so good! One of my favourite books

Romi 🇦🇷

It's an incredible saga!! I read them all in a week 🫣

Nyx

I really enjoyed “This Thing Between Us” and then “Youve Lost a Lot of Blood” was a creepy/fun read (gory though)

Tarte

Doctor Sleep by Stephen King is a classic for me :3

Ginny Owens

I'm not a huge horror enjoyer myself (I like CreepCast, there's a few episodes that have stuck with me), and I enjoy more true crime, tbh. However, I recommend picking up a well-written, well-researched book about the folklore for wherever you live. Truth is stranger rhan fiction, and it kinda gives you a different perspective on the place you call home. Definitely recommend!
