START HERE — Set up RealCam 1.1.0 (Windows + iPhone or Android) (Patreon)
Content
Use your phone to control the in-game camera on your Windows PC, see your shot live and record it.
Compatible phones
iPhone: iOS 26 or later, with the RealCam app through TestFlight link below.
Android: Android 8 or later. The Android app is experimental; tracking support varies by model. ARCore tracking adds physical position tracking. Without it, use rotation tracking and the on-screen movement controls.
Supported PC games
Assetto Corsa with Custom Shaders Patch (CSP) and launched on Content Manager.
BeamNG.drive.
Forza Horizon 6 — Steam or Microsoft Store / PC Game Pass.
Membership & access
RealCam is available to paid Patreon members, with access for the duration of your paid membership. If you cancel, you can keep using RealCam until the end of your current paid billing period. Sign in with the same Patreon account in the Windows installer and the phone app.
You also need Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). Your PC can use Ethernet while your phone uses Wi-Fi. Available camera tools vary by game.
⚠️ RealCam for Windows isn't code-signed yet: SmartScreen will warn you (click More info > Run anyway), and if Smart App Control is On, Windows blocks the Hub entirely, so RealCam only works with Smart App Control Off.
Start with downloads
The Windows installer, Android APK and iPhone TestFlight request are all in the Patreon members' post:
⬇️DOWNLOADS — RealCam 1.1.0 for Windows, iPhone & Android [CLICK HERE]
1 — Install the Hub and prepare your game
Close your games, then download and open the Windows installer from the members' post. If Microsoft Defender SmartScreen displays a warning, click More info → Run anyway.
Click Continue with Patreon and sign in with the account that holds your membership.
Follow the installation steps and accept the administrator prompt if one appears.
New to the Hub? Click the ? next to Manage your RealCam integrations for a quick tour of the Games page.
Already using an older version? You must run the new 1.1.0 installer. The old Hub updater cannot make this transition, even if it says you're up to date. Update your phone app too: a 1.0.x app cannot connect to Hub 1.1.0. After this installation, future Hub updates use the integrated updater.
Step 2 — Get the phone app
iPhone (TestFlight)
From the download post, click Continue with Patreon on the TestFlight request page, then enter your Apple Account email.
Wait for Apple's invitation. Requests can take a little while (12H Maximum). Send yours only once, and never post your email in the comments.
Get TestFlight from the App Store, accept the invitation, then install RealCam.
Android (APK)
This version is brand new and still experimental. On phones with ARCore, RealCam follows you as you walk and turn. Other models handle rotation only: use the on-screen controls to move around. On your phone, open the download post and grab the app.
Open the file. The first time, your phone asks you to allow installs from your browser.
Then, on either phone: open RealCam, sign in with Patreon and allow the permissions it asks for.
Step 3 — Pair your phone (first time only)
Keep the Hub and the phone app open, with both devices on the same local network.
On a fresh installation, the Hub automatically opens *Pair your phone* at first launch to guide you through the connection.
1. In that window, click *Show QR code*.
2. Open RealCam on your phone and tap *Pair with RealCam Hub*.
3. Scan the QR code shown on your PC, or choose *Enter code* on your phone and type the pairing code.
If the welcome window doesn't appear, or you clicked *Later, open Settings → Phones → Pair a phone* in the Hub to display the QR code yourself.
The code expires after *two minutes. If needed, open Pair a phone again for a new one. When connected, the Hub's top-right status shows Hub Online and App Connected*.
Pairing is saved for this PC; you normally only need to do it once.
Step 4 — Film your first shot
With the Hub and the app open, launch your game:
Assetto Corsa: start a driving session with CSP enabled.
BeamNG.drive: load a map and get into a vehicle (windowed or borderless mode gives the most reliable Live View).
Forza Horizon 6: leave the garage and hit the road.
The game picture appears on your phone. Hold it comfortably, and use the reset button to recenter whenever you need.
Pick Car View to ride along, or Freecam to roam the scene, then frame your shot.
Tap Record. Clips are saved on your PC, in the Hub's Records page, and you can also watch and save them from your phone app.
Good to know:
Some tools depend on the game: Drone, Run, Steadycam, focus and replay controls aren't available everywhere yet.
Recording runs at 30 or 60 FPS (Settings → Recording). Smoothness depends on your PC, phone and network.
Updates
Hub: when New Update Available shows at the top, click it to install (close your games first). You can also check in Settings → Updates.
iPhone: new versions arrive through TestFlight.
Android: grab the latest build from the members' download post.
Keep both up to date.
Your access
RealCam works as long as your paid Patreon membership is active. If you cancel, it keeps running until your current billing period ends.
One PC and one phone at a time; iPhone and Android share that slot. Signing in on a new device replaces the previous one.
If your membership ends, the clips you've recorded stay on your PC and phone.
Need help?
Pairing fails? Make sure both devices are on the same home network and the code hasn't expired.
Phone won't connect after moving from 1.0.x? Start the pairing from scratch: tap Forget this PC in the app's Settings, click Remove next to your phone in the Hub's Settings → Phones, then Pair a phone again and scan the new QR code.
Game not detected? Open its card in Games and follow the steps shown.
Still stuck? Click Send Report to Developer in the Hub, then share the reference it gives you on the RealCam Discord, along with your Hub and app versions, the game, and what happened.
Thank you for being part of this adventure!
