yeh, when she was happy about someone'e death, i really felt that was weird. While i do understand that is a normal reaction when her abuser finally died, but the way she reacts on episode 3 made me think she is not really innocent. But then episode 4 really confirms me she is a manipulator and she might be as bad as or worse than Marina

I totally agree with those who say that Shizuka is being manipulative towards Azuma and low-key Takopi at this point and I'm not agreeing with her actions at all. But at the same time it's like, Shizuka was tortured, bullied and everything else is between by Marina, so in her mindset her number one reason for her pain is gone. On top of that she cares about Chappy very much and this has ultimately caused to her have serve tunnel vision and is only focusing on getting him back. Again NOT agreeing with her actions as they are 110% wrong but at the same time I kinda get it. (Please don't get mad at me yall it's just an opinion.)

Shizuka is disturbing the shit out of me, but it actually makes me feel even worse for her. Between the neglect and abuse, she's literally had some of her humanity starved/beat out of her. Azuma's mother makes me furious! I grew up around various forms of abuse, and in my experience, her kind is the worst! I prefer being hit or neglected. This show is so bold, but every aspect has been handled with such care and intention. I wish more studios would take on projects like this!

I feel like a lot of people are quick to turn on shizuka but extreme trauma like neglect and intense bullying rewire the brain. She’s displaying sociopath behavior which is a common thing that develops in children who have been abused. Also she’s mirroring her mother with the manipulation. I can’t be angry at any of the children honestly they are a product of their environment
