I'm the same as you and some other comments here, I don't have any words to describe what I just watched. I've watched a lot of anime and shows.. it's not often I'm at a loss of words to describe something that I've seen. This is up there with some twists in early Game of Thrones(I don't want to spoil anybody in case they haven't seen it so I won't give specifics).

Thinking back to other episodes, Marina's mom said something like "what if it scarred her face" when Marina's dad threw something at her.. and then in the future/this timeline is the one that scarred her face. That's an oof

Im so confused. Did Marina still bully Shizuka in the original timelime? Because like Marina did not have an interaction with Shizuka. Like she should have recognized her and said hi or something, and like Azuma did not even mention about Marina bullying Shizuka. The anime should have some kind of closure that it was just the past and have moved on or something lol

Sup Michael. Plot twist was so crazy I almost called outta work. Jaw was dropped for like 30 minutes. This is one of the best anime of all time man.

That plot twist was crazy! So basically Marina and Shizuka are parallels to a "What if" situation. Or did I get that wrong?

This clearly shows that shizuka had no genuine feelings towards azuma. Her eyes looked “scary” bc they were empty,she was just mirroring what azuma wanted to hear while feeling nothing herself. Also marina’s mother gave bpd with the sudden switches of moods and aggressive anger issues. The father was still putting marina in the parents business which she shouldn’t have been. Both of her parents SUCK! A true happy ending would be all three of those poor children being sent with CPS and away from those awful people.
