woo it’s here 🥹 The animation, sound design, music, the pacing, voice acting, they did a wonderful job on it .The school scene and denji and reze having a great time and hearing in the pool ost my god it makes me cry listening to it. I liked the Russian song and i enjoyed denji and beam vs typhoon/ the festival and fireworks and the beach 🏖️ scene

The hype this movie has had reaaally makes me want to catch up on Chainsaw Man so I can experience the greatness

Clinton Tatoute

I 100% agree with u. The movie is ♾️/10. People are actually mentally ill if they say that the movie is for gooners. Tatsuya Yoshihara popped off in this movie, kensuke Ushio was in his bag with the ost especially with “in the pool” and “in the sea.” And mappa itself also did a wonderful job animating this movie especially with that one scene when reze was beating denji to oblivion in the skyscrapper and the sharknado scene. Beam was most definitely the MVP in the movie. I truly hope that the animators get compensated fairly for their hard work and efforts put into the film. Chainsaw man reze arc movie was truly “PEAK CINEMA”

Shouto

I revived just for this reaction lol- I was lucky enough to see the movie in theatres (sadly my city only ran it for just over a week so I was unable to find time to see it beyond my first watch which is honestly a tragedy ) and I have never had a cinematic experience that intense before. As a manga reader I knew what was coming but the movie still surprised me, the adaptation went above and beyond anything I could have ever imagined. My bias is once again speaking here but the Reze arc movie might be one of my favourite animated films of all time (putting it right up there with Spirited Away and Kimi no Na wa cause sheesh- I literally walked out of the theatre shaking and in awe) and it’s definitely my favourite piece of work with MAPPA’s name on it. Full disclosure, I cried during the pool scene (the visual animation style to the music to the cinematography to Reze’s VA- literally everything about that scene is absolutely incredible) because seeing it be brought to life in the way they did it, where it’s so intimate yet not inherently sexual was so, so masterfully done. It really was just the magic and tragedy of two kids finding solace in one another and having fun for a single moment where they could be vulnerable in a world as dark and horrific as CSM’s. I also cried during the Typhoon fight but that was just me being absolutely overwhelmed by peak because the ANIMATION LIKE DAMN. I loved season 1 of CSM despite its flaws but if season 2 ends up being anything close to the movie then CSM really will be a generational masterpiece like no other. I can’t listen to Jane Doe without feeling depressed though lol. You’ll get a lot of comments explaining most of the symbolism in this movie (the spider and the butterfly, Reze’s tells before the Bomb reveal, Angel listening to Aki’s plea by not telling him about the plan with Makima at the end, etc.) but one thing I find that not a lot of people have mentioned so far is the fact that from the beginning, Makima knew about Reze and was watching her and Denji the entire time; Makima’s subtle dance movements in the scene where Reze was singing the lullaby, Makima knowing exactly where the cafe was at the end and that Reze would go there, Makima’s answer regarding the country mouse followed by her heavily implying that not even the country mice are safe from her, the numerous shots of Makima’s and Reze’s eyes throughout the film, etc. Makima was always watching yet only stepped in when Denji was ready and literally waiting for Reze to run away together- she didn’t stop Reze or Denji from meeting up or later fighting yet took action the moment that Denji was closest to actual freedom. As always, amazing reaction and apologies for the long-winded comment lol. I might have to change my name to Yapper at this rate lmao

La Flame

Ain’t no way u dropped it already, I was waiting for your reaction cuz i didn’t have a website where to watch it, and didn’t get Patreon notification but i saw ur community post on Youtube, time to get some snacks and watch this peak reaction and movie

I think I think I can say it confidently that im not seeing anything like this before in any anime MAPPA literally told ufotable that they are here too OH MY GOD MEN I saw 2 times in theaters its just wonderful

Eddy

Amazing watch! Loved the bits where you went fullscreen absolute cinema

Avanah

Honestly, I gave up on the anime because it just didn’t click with me… but damn, the movie blew me away, and now I’m about to start the anime again! The animation quality was insane, even though it’s completely different from DS’s Infinity Castle. I can’t even say which one looked better. I take back every complaint I ever had about CSM. An amazing movie!
