While it is funny that they looked like they dap each other up lol, hands is a very important part of storytelling for Horikoshi. Its representation is pretty much in almost every major character scene especially dekus.

Everyone wanted a kiss, but people forget that Japan is very strict on pda. Lol. Holding hands is a stretch in certain places. Not to mention, Deku and Uraraka have always been awkward. It is on brand for the both of them. They could’ve hugged, but that would’ve been out of character for them. Horikoshi nailed the ending for them.
