Bro this movie is soooooo good. I love Akaza so much man. Overall amazing fights from everyone though. The backstory of Hakuji actually brought tears to my eyes... Also Doma meant that he felt Akaza evolving into something like Muzan when he said "other creature" at the end. This movie got me so hyped I'm about to play Hinokami Chronicles 2 again (since it has the characters from this movie now). Anyways great reaction and I hope you get to see it again in the cinema like I did last year.

Absolute cinema. Also yes, both Kokushibo and Doma eluded to the fact that Akaza had evolved into something stronger, i.e. similar to Muzan. This is why Kokushibo said about Akaza not taking the path he had just made for himself to become stronger. And why Doma was curious about how Akaza regenerated his head, but then realised he died so it didn't matter to him anymore! But yeah if Tanjiro didn't unlock his memories, or even figure out how to achieve the selfless state, they'd be cooked. Akaza is a beast, his compass needle reacts even stronger to stronger opponents, even Gyomei likely would die facing Akaza even before he knew he had no weakness aside from the sun like Muzan. He's my favourite character in the whole series, poor guy had his new life taken away from him by humans, and then transformed into a demon against his will, it's so tragic

We’ve been telling everyone Akaza was holding back vs Rengoku but no one believed us. Akaza never faced a flame hashira before so he was testing the waters. Akaza has faced a water hashira before so he knew he needed more offense, since water is the best defensive style. Also add in it’s 2v1 so there’s that too

Now you see why people ended up liking Akaza. Lol. It was always RIP Rengoku, but between his fighting ability and his backstory, it was hard not to sympathize with his character. And technically Akaza did bypass Douma in that moment because he admitted if Shinobu cut off his head he would’ve died.

RE Domas comment when Akaza died, Tanjiro did say Akaza is trying to evolve, so I do think he had evolved into a creature similar to Muzan.. so probably was stronger than Doma at that point too

Transparent World breakdown: when your mind becomes clear enough after tireless effort and concentration, you can tap into that world to understand your own body, you can use it to close off other senses and only use what you need most in that situation, when tanjiro had to dodge akaza's swing he closed off all of his other senses and fully focused on dodging because thats what he needed to do the most which allowed him to move faster then ever before and dodge the swing, he can also use the transparent world to close off his fighting spirit and become selfless, hence the name "selfless-state", also everything is perceived in slow mo because of the significant speed boost tanjiro gains from using it, which allowed him to surpass akaza's speed and behead him even before akaza finishes throwing his attack, akaza wanted to reach the selfless-state but didn't know that the transparent world was the first step and obstacle before gaining a selfless-state

Loved it and I really hope you see this comment because regarding Kaigaku and Zenitsu, personal theory of mine that I've also seen others who share this opinion, is that Kaigaku and Zenitsu are unable to use all the forms because of where they holster their blades, while Zen has it on his side, Kaigaku has it on his back, perhaps that is why they can't perform their forms Also Maya!

im gonna put out a theory and ive not been spoilered nor have i read the manga. we've seen upper 6, upper 4, upper 3, 2 and 1. but we havent seen the replacement for upper moon 5 yet. my guess is either enoske is gonna stumble upon him/her, or mr. rengoku and tengen will be facing them. or maybe even urokudaki and muzan has sent upepr 5 out i nsearch of nezuko. i cant wait till the next movie to find out.

So, I'll answear some of your questions that are still left without answears, since I know just how much you love Demon Slayer (Like me, literally my favorite universe and story XD), and how much you seak for lore. Don't worry, there will be no spoilers, just lore answears and a bit of teasing hehe x) So, regarding Akaza. Like you clocked it, his Compass has the shape of a snowflake, which is a reference to Koyuki's pin. But that's far from being the only detail about Akaza. - Every single Akaza's attacks are named after fireworks. - His pink hairs and clothes are of the same shade as Koyuki's kimono and eyes. - Of course his fighting style is the Soryu style that his Master taught him. - And it's probably not gonna be an exact word to word, but I've seen somewhere that apparently: The name Hakuji means something like "A dog who thrives to protect its home". Where Akaza means something like "Castrated dog/Useless dog". So, very fitting names when we now his backstory (Which I apparently can't watch without crying my damn heart, even tho it's already the 5th time XD) Unconsciously, even if he didn't really remembered his past, everything in his Demon form was inspired by Koyuki and her father (Mostly Koyuki, but still). When Doma was referring at Akaza's "transformation", he was indeed just referring at Akaza's new level of power: Being able to survive decapitation like Muzan. He simply surpassed the Demon's condition by sheer will. And concerning his Rank 3, you'll see alright why he wasn't higher ranked... Again I'm not gonna spoil anything don't worry, I'll just say that Doma wasn't even trying against Shinobu. He's truely terrifying. If Akaza wasn't serious against Kyojuro, it's nothing compared to how unserious Doma was against Shinobu. And nobody is ready for Kokushibo. It's simply another level. And as a final tease: This unnamed character will die, but this other unnamed character will survive. Do whatever you want with this absolutely useless information XDDD Other fun fact only related to me and my experience: I watched this movie twice and theater. And when I got to be able to watch this movie again in streaming, I kid you not, I was so overwhelmed by joy I was actually tearing up... Just because I was so damn happy to be able to watch this movie again. I love Demon Slayer so much man. It's not perfect, there are some flaws here and there if you dig enough. But you can't take away the heart it has. It is by FAR my favorite universe and story ever. That said, have a great one everyone!

I watched this in cinema, one thing I will say is, having it available digitally makes me appreciate the SFX and music so much more due to headphones, the music and sound effects are INSANE, Giyu vs Akaza round 2 was perfect

I feel like many other reactors don’t notice much about the anime’s background details or foreshadowing, but you always catch even the small points, and I’m always impressed by how deep your knowledge of anime is. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc—I've been eagerly waiting for your reaction!!! Since I don’t understand English, I watched your video using a translator, and I thought, “As expected!” when you noticed the shape of Koyuki’s hair ornament…!! By the way, the “yuki” (雪) in Koyuki means “snow” in Japanese. It was revealed in one of Gotoge-sensei’s setting/behind-the-scenes talks, but all of Akaza’s techniques are based on memories from his past. Apparently, most of Akaza’s technique names come from the names of Japanese fireworks, and the shape of his compass, like you said, seems to come from Koyuki’s hair ornament. Just like you, my favorite demon backstory is Akaza’s, and my second favorites are Daki and Gyutaro!!
