Now that I've figured out what style I want to draw the mist in I plan to bullshit my way through every background in this part. Blue all the way.I'm going to try to find time to experiment with rain and darkness to the same effect. I love drawing cluttered backgrounds, but I don't love it in a hurry, and when I have to plan it from so many angles/be so predictive about it.Mike Mignola sharpees his backgrounds out. I think I have found a way to do that that works for me without having to shade with black, haha.
