Day 3 - Symbiosis (Patreon)

I'm doing October prompts and using the 'voretober' list because it has the most general prompts. I don't plan to do any vore (for this), but you never know! I might.Skipped days 1 and 2, but I might go back for them.

Symbiosis

Cat spirits in the Way are born from Su's field. They all start as seeds. So every cat has a crop and crops are kind of like big extended families. Once in a while a crop mate is born mushroomy (inspired by ergot). These guys end up outcasted. It doesn't happen a lot, but it used to happen more and 'cat god' doesn't like it. He even struck a crop from his hall (Rye) for producing too many mushroom babies and doesn't plant it anymore. So you won't see mushroom motifs in the Way. They would draw bad attention.

This lore is old and was never finished, so I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with it now or how it applies to the story, but recently I mentioned on my twitter that Jacky's mom ate a mushroom from a faerie ring (or some other source) and got pregnant, so I've been thinking about it again and how she's sort of a mushroom baby too.
