I think amityville was one of the warrens earlier high profile scams 💀 like 3 years after the scam they based the first movie on . And yes I will keep calling it a scam the real warrens sucked HUGELY as people and ghosts aren't real

fun fact we see the name valak a couple times in the warrents house, its spelled out with books in the book shelf, with the wooden letter decorations, in the bracelets made by judy their daugther and i think theres one more that i cant remember

I do love this movie just different from the first. Fun suspense. The nun freaked me out most and it was amusing that Benji was shrinking down the screen lol as for the Warrens I enjoy them and separate from the real family since their reputation isn’t great.

My mam and her sister made a Oujia board when they were young, so late 70s/early 80sish. They had just put scraps of paper on a mirror on their bed and used a drinking glass as a planchette. Nothing happened when they were using it so they crumpled the paper up and left it on the bed and went out for a bit. They came back and the paper was all arranged in a circle and the glass was moving like mad so they freaked out and launched the glass out of the window and chucked the paper into the fireplace. My grandmother was not amused apparently 😅

Benji and I have the same thought about this. I can watch these movies and like this version of the Warrens as their own characters. If it helps, basically none of this (at least the Warrens role in it) happened. They rocked up, stayed for a while, and were basically not asked to return (if I remember correctly). So that, in itself, makes this fantasy in a way 🤷🏻‍♀️

That’s not what I said… I said I just think of the Warrens of the movies as their own characters, not the real people. I never claimed to know them, but their involvement (however little) in the case is documented? The snark is unnecessary
