I keep forgetting she's NOT Hailey from mordern family. She played the same kind of best friend chatlracter in bad amazon movie staring Bram from Love, Simon. Even her ex looks abit like the Sprouse from that movie. I don't get the big deal about the best friends sleeping together either (and I've seen the whole season now). Its such a non-issue. It would've been way better if he was sleeping with a guy. Like, come on, there were still straight hockey players in Heated Rivalry!

Same. I found out a while ago. I liked the show but this little tidbit made me feel a little icky. I was going to comment her age a few reactions ago, so rizzo would know what he was up to when he says "titties" cause I know the guys pay attention to that. (Not that I blame him, I've seen her. Lol) I know he doesn't like to comment on teenagers so much. The only thing that made the age difference issue ok-er in my mind they don't make them anything but very buddy buddy in press tour content. Unlike a lot of press for shows like this, where they like to push the 'are they possibly more than friends??' schtick.

Ella Bright had addressed comments about her age in an interview. She was fully informed about what the role would require and talked to the showrunner about what she was and wasn't comfortable with before she accepted. There was also intimacy coordinator on set. At the end of the day, she's an actor and this was a huge job opportunity. I think it's unfair that people are basically holding her age against her.
