Ahoy, my handsome sailors!!

This is going to be a bit different from our usual posts, for I have an important question to ask you. But first, a bit of context! 💭

 As many of you know, yer Cap'n has been working on a game for about two years now, and it is looking great and getting better by the day!

We are very close to finishing the first big delivery, and a great chunk of the whole game, which we like to call Chapter 1. For that, I would love to focus all my efforts on making it happen as soon as possible and as well as possible.

However, making a game with interactive animated scenes, a multitude of art, and a constant correction of the writing and mechanics is exceptionally demanding. As such, the SGSM team needs me more than ever to achieve this incredible feat.

The main issue is that animations are the thing that take the most time and effort, and to give myself the time to work on the game, I will need to take it easier over here at CptPopcorn.

Now, I like it when the community has a voice in making decisions and expressing concerns or relief. This is why I would like to ask you for help making this decision so we can make it together.

Knowing that you (my CptPopcorn Crew) shall also receive the game, there are two paths in front of us:

1. CptPopcorn gets paused for 2 to 3 months until the affairs over SGSM get in order.2. We continue working on CptPopcorn, focusing on illustrations/artworks for a while, exploring our latest series and characters at the cost of taking it easy with animations to have a spare time and energy for SGSM.

What Would Yer Cap'n Choose? 🤔

After exploring the latest series, ideas, and new characters, I would love to go with number 2. I would love to take it a bit easier on me with the animations and focus on creating artwork instead, to keep exploring our repertoire and stories while I also provide support and help with the conception of Soulgasm.

I believe in Soulgasm, and I want to take this leap of faith. I feel it was too long overdue, and this is when the game needs me the most. But I also want to be fair and to hear what you think about the path forward.

You are everything to me, my sailors. Together we will make it work ❤️❤️❤️

If this game requires more attention than Patreon then Definitely go for it. A game made by you would be a dream come true and definitely worth waiting a few months.

If the Captain needs a pause and recoop time the crew will support her the whole way. Burn outs, artist blocks, other projects, real life stress and energy crashes are a real thing. So if you need to take the time I and other crew members will support your break.

I may be personally biased cause I am supporting the game, but I say go for the game first. Hell I'll cover the difference in sub prices so Soulgasm can be as awesome as it can be. Don't overfill your plate cptn

Aw man. Obviously I want the easiest path for you! But I was really looking forward to a spooky month with the Capt.n'. 😑 "Imodna Halloween BOO-ty Call" will have to wait until next year I guess! Lmao

If it's between these two choices, I personally think pausing is better so there's no extra stress or a compulsion to spend extra time for our sake. I'd also be alright with keeping things open and sharing slight sketches or sneak peeks that get made naturally during that time. What we want is for our Captain to put their strongest foot forward, no matter the project! Like you said, the game needs you the most right now, so that's where you should be focusing! I honestly can't wait to see what Soulgasm will be like once it's ready to be witnessed, and if we need a brief break to achieve that greatness, then so be it!

Personally I prefer option 2, I have no stake in the game and I'm not sure I'll even be able to play it and I'll absolutely miss you for 2 or 3 months BUT if that's what you'll need to come back to Cpt full force then I understand and can wait patiently

Instead of taking it easy on two things at once it may be best to go all in on one, and you already know I'm gonna suggest it be Soulgasm; anything to make it stay on track and hey, maybe even get more support from supporters here would be wondrous

100 percent cool with pausing, but i clicked 2 cuz thats the option you said you would pick, and i want you to do what your heart wants in this matter. Wherever your heart is is where the best art will happen i think, and ill enjoy both options

I honestly like the static images as much as the animations. Maybe even more. If that cuts down on the work load, I'd get just as much enjoyment.
