🍿🎞️ Tyranny's Animation Update! 🎞️🍿 + Next pieces 👀 (Patreon)

Ahooooy, me hearties!

It's been a hot minute since our last post, and DAYUM! There was almost no contest to it 😆😆😆

As soon as the results were so clear, I put myself to work on it non-stop! And today I can say that the art and layer-cutting have been finished and delivered to our rigger!

It took me a bit longer to finish this one due to getting my setup ready for the coworking space and actually getting started with this new routine, getting used to the new tools and environment... I shall share news about it shortly!

For now, I want to share with you some of the simpler elements that make our animations possible: the eyes and the mouth in these examples! So you get a sense of why these things take so long 🥲

Both eyes and mouth need to be carefully crafted (👁️👄👁️), otherwise, the lively animations we know wouldn't be possible, for that's what makes them so special!

On top of that, I feel particularly proud of this piece, as I also enjoyed painting it A LOT and I hope my eyes are not lying when they scream to my brain 'SO PRETTY'! You shall decide if so!

Expect some new techniques used in this piece as well: I made a loooot of dynamic shadows so it feels even more volumetric, and I am exploring new brushes and tools to level up my style and pace, getting more artsy and overall trying to enjoy the process more!

And indeed! The absolute winner (Tyranny's long ass animation) is already in production, while the other second and third winners get the podium for a glorious illustration! (Each with their own variations and other herbs.

You will notice the two at the bottom as well; those are my personal picks to give myself a little treat now, and then, you can let me know if my taste sucks 🎱 much-much, I shall carry the shame with pride! 😆😆😆

OH, and before I forget: I set Betty aside for a bit to go at full force on Tyranny (hehe, see what i did there?), but I shall get back to it right after finishing an illustration for you, my sailors! You deserve some GOOD FRESH POPCORN!!

🥳🍿New Office, New Captain! 🍿🫡

I am very glad to inform all of you, my sailors, that this captain was 100% right about the new environment to achieve a higher level of focus! Alas, my shoulder pain and overall soreness are pretty much still present (these hits are taking their damn time to heal). And yet, the change of pace (for the better) is tangible!

PLUS my coworkers are absolute chads and don't mind seeing a tiddy or two when passing by ✍️😃👌

Ending thoughts 💭

What else is there to say, my sailors? Things are finally picking up. It took so much longer than I could have hoped, but they are finally picking up, all because there was a crew of ridiculously handsome and supportive sailors across the world who believed in their captain.

I can't express how grateful I am to have you as part of this adventure. I still can't feel worthy of such an incredible crew, but I can keep trying to make it up to you with more spicy pieces, animations, and overall improvement on each step ahead.
