...After the last month of malady, this Cap'n thought the worst was already behind. But boy oh boy was I wrong. It looks like the universe just can't stop throwing rocks at this boat of mine. At this point, any effort to do things right truly feels like swimming against a torrent, a lost cause.

But we ain't giving up! Because that's what heroes do! Right? RIGHT?? kill me 🫠🫠🫠

✨ A Not-So-Positive Personal Note Ahead; Please Feel Free To Skip It✨

I am truly disappointed at my own failures, the ones that took place over the past several months/year; every time I begin changing things and trying to improve the course of action, something happens RIGHT AFTER and pulls me back to square one if not even a worse spot than I was before.

Like many of us in here, I didn't have the easiest of starts in life. And as such, my depression got worse and worse in the past three to four years... a painful but necessary process of healing and forgiving, which culminated (for the most part) recently in a period of emotional rest and peace.

Unfortunately, the same can't be said about physical health and profession (Of course it couldn't be a swift path...): My path as an artist was always one full of passion and frustration; passion for what I could become and frustration for not being there yet. But passion and interest was at the center of the picture.

Over the past two or three years, that passion started to drip away. Day by day it faded until there was nothing left and only duty remained (Which I am sure you can notice in our last many pieces. They migth be skill and technique-wise great, but they lack the soul art should have)...

...So I found myself in this dilemma: should I keep doing fanarts just as we've been doing since the beginning of CptPopcorn (And keep losing my soul perhaps for good)? Or should I pivot to a project I actually feel passionate about and constantly inspired to work on?

🍿🔮...Enter Soulgasm!🔮🍿

My passion lies in Soulgasm, the video game that our previous team failed to bring to life, and now I am taking it as a personal vendetta to make the best Dating Sim there is!

You see, the fatigue for this Captain when it comes to other IPs has reached such a point in which it takes a whole week to finish an artwork for CptPopcorn, if not more. While an even bigger piece for Soulgasm can take a day, perhaps two. YES, THAT BAD.

The plan🗺️📌

The plan is to dedicate a few months purely to it, so I can give the art another chance, and since many of you like the OCs, why not treat it as our current project?

I will be sharing updates, animations, plans, roadmaps, and more, but I'll keep the art format we know and love so much (trying not to spoil the story so you can explore it!).

But I would like to keep at least one themed poll a month so you can choose your preferred girl and propose a theme for the next one!

Now, I understand this might be unpopular among many sailors in our crew. And to you, I hear you! You are right.

But I can't continue down this path anymore, and the alternative is to close CptPopcorn for an extended period, if not for good. And I can't do that to you, my sailors.

Please tell me what you think, and if you would stay for this journey! I do expect a huge drop of sailors, jumping out of the ship left and right! To the boats!! 🛟🦺 And again, I understand. But I need to put myself first, or CptPopcorn won't make it through.
