Poll | What Should Be the Focus of v0.4? (Patreon)

Hello, everyone! As I mentioned in the previous devlog, I'm unsure whether I should continue improving the foundation of the game or add new content.

Both need to be done eventually, of course, and I'm asking now because of how long v0.3 took. In hindsight, taking on such a long development process at the very start of the Patreon might've been a bold move. While I can't guarantee how long a content-focused update would take, I'd imagine it would be quicker.

A. Keep Working on the Foundation

Continuing work on the 'foundation' would entail:

Gathering outfit suggestions for Soriel from X, Reddit, and our Discord, then putting the most popular ones to a poll so you all, the supporters, can decide which will be added.

Finishing up Dynamic Portraits by having the artist add the new outfits and outfit-break variants for both new and existing outfits, for the main dialogue portrait and battle standing picture.

Addressing any technical issues that arise during implementation. The system should support these additions, but I'm not calling it "complete" again until I've put it into practice.

Writing outfit reactions. As with integrating Dynamic Portraits, I'll go over the existing dialogue again to add reactions to the different outfits and their states of damage.

This would mean another long wait until the next update.

B. Add New Content

Adding new content would entail:

Writing 3-4 more scenes using the assets we already have, along with what the artist has been working on in the background.

Adding those scenes to the game, then testing and refining them. The exact scenes haven't been decided yet, but I'll go into more detail in the roadmap if this option is picked.

Whichever you choose now, the other will be the focus of the following update once v0.4 has settled in.
