Chapter 5
Sean barely talked on the rest of the drive.
The van smelled like dust, dried sweat, and construction material. I sat in the passenger seat with my shorts sticking to my thighs and his load still leaving me every time we hit a bump. The sky went that deep orange-purple you only get at the edge of a city.
He pulled into an industrial lot and parked in front of a long metal building with his last name faded on the bay door. Work trucks. A couple of vans. Light and voices spilling out. Sawdust. Beer. Men who had been lifting heavy stuff all day.
He killed the engine and sat with both hands on the wheel.
“Last time I say it,” he said, not looking at me. “You walk in, you can walk out. You tap my arm, we’re in the van. You don’t tap, I don’t save you. Holt already knows something’s off. The rest of them think you’re a stall from the park. I am not giving them your last name if I don’t have to. Clear.”
“Clear.”
“Get out.”
I got out.
The warehouse was bigger inside than the lot promised. Lumber. Drywall. Tool crates under hard fluorescent light. The air was warm and thick — sweat, dust, cheap deodorant, beer. Six of them stood around two workbenches. Most already down to tanks or nothing on top. Belts on chairs. Cans on plywood.
Holt saw us first.
Shaved head. Beard. The neck tattoo. Company tank gone dark. He had a beer and the look he’d had on my parents’ back steps when he said I was walking funny. His eyes went from Sean to me and stayed. The sentence he’d been building since the kitchen finally had a last word.
Conversation died.
Sean put a hand on the back of my neck and walked me into the middle like he was presenting a delivery.
“This is the one from the park,” he said, voice carrying. “The stall boy who doesn’t quit. He came in the van on his own. Here’s how tonight works. He sucks whoever wants it. Proper. When we’re ready to finish, we finish on him. He taps my arm, it stops. Nobody films. Nobody asks his name. Clear?”
A couple of low laughs. A whistle.
Holt didn’t laugh.
“That’s the boy from the house,” Holt said. Not a question.
Sean’s jaw flexed.
“That’s the mouth from the park. That’s all you need.”
Holt’s mouth ticked. He drank. He didn’t argue. He also didn’t look away from my mouth.
A lean guy in the back — mid-twenties, still in work pants, a long curve already obvious in the fabric — grinned.
“Fuck yeah. Let’s see if Sean’s been lying to the group about the park slut.”
Sean shoved me down to my knees on the concrete.
“Circle up. Cocks out. Holt first. He’s my partner after all.” Sean commanded.
They moved in.
Holt first, like Sean promised. Shaved head shining under the fluorescents. Beard. The neck tattoo flexing when he wrapped a fist around himself. He smelled like my parents’ hallway — cut wood, salt, the coffee from the island.
“Look at me,” Holt said. “I said what’s up in that kitchen and you looked at my mouth. Now you look at me while you work.”
I looked. He pushed in. Thicker than the hole had room for. I gagged on the first real stroke and he groaned like a board seating.
“That’s the noise. Sean. You hear that. That’s your house boy.”
“I hear it,” Sean said. “Don’t finish.”
“I’m not sixteen.” Holt used my throat in short heavy punches, thumb at the corner of my mouth checking the stretch. “You skip class for this. I hung drywall four feet from your bed. That’s funny to me.”
He pulled out shiny and slapped the wet head once against my cheek, not cruel — marking.
“Next. Don’t waste him.”
The lean one — mid-twenties, work pants still on, long curve, eager grin — grabbed my hair with both hands.
“Let’s find out how good you are, slut.”
He shoved to the root. My nose hit his stomach. He laughed and gave those small mean thrusts guys do when they can’t believe the rumor is warm.
“Tight. Fuck. Eyes up, college boy. You’re on the clock.”
Sean: “He can take it. He’s a gloryhole pro.”
“He can take me.” The lean one held me there until I slapped Holt’s boot by accident. Holt didn’t move the boot. The lean one pulled off and painted my other cheek. “That’s a deposit.”
Dark-haired, still in boots, company man, solid. He said little bro the way Sean said it over cabinets — nickname, not blood — and he liked the sound.
“Little bro from the job site. Boss brings the slut to be shared. That’s a good bonus, boss.”
He facefucked with both hands and talked to Sean over my head. “You been holding this while we tiled the downstairs? That’s rude, boss.”
“I didn’t know the face,” Sean said.
“You know it now.” He didn’t give air until Sean clicked his tongue. He pulled out coughing-wet and wiped himself on my lower lip.
“Yes, boss.”
Tall. Quiet. Almost no hair. Long clean cock. He didn’t talk. He fucked my throat like a measurement — in, hold, out, in. When he bottomed out his breath was the only tell. He stepped aside and nodded once at Sean. Receipt.
Barrel chest. Thick neck. Heavy in the jaw. He fed himself slow and the stretch made my eyes go.
“Good mouth,” he rumbled. “Don’t you scrape. I paid for beer, not dental.”
The last one had ink on one forearm and a chain and an uncut cock already dripping. He narrated.
“Tongue. Under. Fuck yeah. My girlfriend is not that good.” He laughed at himself.
Holt came back for a second pass because Holt does not like being one-and-done on a job. He held my jaw in those two fingers he’d put through the gloryhole and steered.
“House boy,” he said, quiet, only for me. “I knew that mouth in the kitchen. I should’ve said it then.”
He didn’t let me answer. He used me until Sean tapped his shoulder.
“Enough warm-up. Ass. Table. He already took me at the tree. He’s open and loaded. You want it, you use a rubber or you ask him. That’s the rule in my building.”
A beat. The lean one said, “Asking’s gay.”
“Then wrap it,” Sean said. “Or wait for his face. I’m not catching something because you’re poetic.”
Holt looked at me.
“You want it raw from me or you want the rubber.”
The warehouse waited.
“Raw,” I said. My voice sounded used.
Holt’s mouth ticked.
“On the plywood. Chest down. Ass up.”
Holt spat twice. The flared head of him pressed where the tree and the stall had already been and he shoved in like the table had a deadline. I bit the plywood. Dust in my teeth. He bottomed out and stayed there, breathing, a laugh under it.
“House boy’s still tight. That’s a compliment. Don’t take it.”
He started moving. Deep. Heavy. The table inched toward a stack of two-by-fours. My sneakers left the floor on the worst strokes. Holt’s hand in my hair pulled my head up so the lean one could fill my mouth at the same time.
“That’s the picture,” Sean said, close, foreman-quiet. “That’s what you drove here for. You tap, Holt stops. You don’t tap, Holt doesn’t stop.”
I didn’t tap.
Holt talked while he used me. Not sweet.
“I knew in the kitchen. Mouth. The way you looked at Sean’s hand. I said it and he told me to hang the board. Now I’m in you and he’s watching. That’s a partnership.”
Sean’s laugh was short.
“Wrap it up before you write vows.”
Holt pulled out to keep from finishing and slapped my ass once, open, not a show — a clock.
“Somebody else. I want his face later.”
Barrel-chested wrapped without being asked twice. Different thickness. Shorter slaps. The table complained. The chain guy asked with his chin; I said yes; he went bare into the slop and muttered jesus like the building had heard it before. The quiet one waited his turn at my mouth the whole time, patient, and when he got it he was still silent.
Sean shoved the last shoulder aside and lined up his own curve.
“My building. My hole.” He pushed in on one stroke that stole the air Holt had left me. “We are gonna paint his face. Crew hears that?”
A grunt of yes around the circle.
Sean fucked me like the oak — mean, full body — except now Holt was stroking himself next to my mouth waiting for the order and the fluorescents made everything worse. I came against the plywood without a hand. Sean felt the clench and laughed into my shoulder.
“There. That’s the slut from the park.”
He pulled out before he finished. Dragged me back to my knees by the hair.
“Mouth open. Tongue out. Eyes open. Nobody leaves until he’s dripping. Holt, you first. You started the rumor with the crew.”
I did what he said.
Holt stepped in close and stroked fast. The first rope hit my cheek and the bridge of my nose. The lean one painted the other side. The dark-haired one aimed for my mouth and laughed when I swallowed what I could. The quiet one finished almost silent across my forehead. The barrel-chested one covered my tongue. The chain guy got my hair.
Sean was last.
He stood so close the head of him almost sat on my tongue. He looked at the mess the crew had made like a punch list. Then he came thick and heavy over all of it, pulsing, mixing, some of it in my mouth. I swallowed because that was still the work.
For a few seconds the warehouse was just breath and drip.
Sean let go of my hair.
“Rag,” he said. “Eyes only. Rest of it stays. He’s riding with me.”
Somebody tossed a paint-stained towel at my knees. I wiped just enough to see. The rest I left — drying on my face, in my hair, down my neck.
Holt crouched once, beer in his hand, and looked at me like he owned me.
Sean pulled me up. My legs were garbage. More of the afternoon leaked down my thigh on the walk to the van. Behind us the crew was already talking, already replaying, already asking when.
Sean put me in the passenger seat. Started the engine. Pulled out of the lot.
He drove a minute before he spoke.
“You didn’t tap.”
“No.”
“Then we’re not done with this building.” He kept his eyes on the road. “Breakfast story is the same. Knee. Table. You walk funny, that’s on you. Holt’s going to look at you in that kitchen tomorrow like he looked at you tonight. You handle it. I handle the crew.”
I sat there with seven men on my face and the warehouse still in my hole and the secret of the gloryhole officially dead.
Sean’s van smelled like sawdust and sex.
He didn’t say little bro.
He didn’t have to. I was his slut now.
