This is our fourth and final major release of February, and it brings our Kingmaker theme to a close in a big way.

Over the last month, we’ve been hard at work fleshing out an entire region of our Fallen Kingdom setting, the Barony of Estania. What started as a single idea has now grown into a fully playable sandbox with over 40 fully mapped locations spread across the region. Towns, ruins, wilderness sites, and adventure hooks galore, Estania is now ready to drop straight into your campaign.

Note: The Barony of Estania map will be released shortly for FREE to Premium Members so keep an eye our for that! But in the meantime you can check it out on Legend Keeper HERE

Another Note: All locations in Blue have been fully mapped out.

We originally floated the idea of continuing to develop this sandbox next month as well. However, while there are still a couple of points of interest left to map, it doesn’t really justify a whole month on its own.

So instead, we wanted to ask you something.

🗺️ A Question for You

Would this format for map-making work for you moving forward?

Specifically:

We vote on a broad theme (for example, Elven Realm)

Then, instead of lots of individual (admittedly awesome) standalone maps, we create a province-sized setting

Over the month, we fully fill that region with interconnected, fully mapped locations you can run as a sandbox or drop into an existing world

This is essentially what we’ve done this month, and to a lesser extent last month with our Celtic Folks theme.

We’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts, so please let us know in the comments — your feedback directly shapes what we build next.

🗺️ Without Further Ado… The Maps!

Map 1: The Queen Tower - 11 Variants

Perched atop Atheryne’s Crown, a large hill between the town of Roserun and Palerock Castle, the Queen Tower is steeped in dark legend.

Once home to a queen of Galdoria, accused of witchcraft and overthrown by her own court, the tower became her refuge after she fled with her two sisters to Estania. There, she continued her dark magic, until one day she vanished during a particularly foul casting.

Centuries later, the tower lies in ruins and is widely believed to be haunted. Locals give it a wide berth. It remained abandoned until a troop of dwarves leased the site to mine the rich ore deposits beneath it. Even they avoid the tower itself… at least until they accidentally breached the Queen Vault below while searching for a tributary of the Deepways (their real reason for mining the area).

What, exactly, did they unleash?

Map 2: Spider Cave - 10 Variants

At the northern edge of Heartstone Woods lies a particularly poor place to make camp, though how were they to know a 15-foot spider lived in the cave?

In hindsight, the enormous web strung across the cave walls might have been a clue. 🕷️

Map 3: Rope Bridge Canyon 11 Variants

A simple rope bridge stretches high above the rushing Bluewake River below.

Watch your step. The planks might look sturdy, but when the fall is fatal, even a small misstep can mean the end.

I for one absolutely love what you've done with this map of a region and theme and developing many individual location maps for it. I would be thrilled to see you continue this---esp. if you filled out the regions (even if it took a couple of months to do it). Your work is AWESOME! Thanks.
