Hi guys!

So after promising myself I wouldn't start drawing this exact Isometric Drawing until after the weekend, I just SUPER did it anyway, take that best laid plans!

I thought I would share my first pass of the Duergar Tower with you and get your thoughts on the general feel and vibe I've gone for. This is my first time creating a Duergar style so I need all the help I can get :D

This drawing will be released with next weeks map: The Duergar Tower (I might change the name to something more.....'epic')

--------------

I went through a period of creating quite a few Isometric drawings for you guys to accompany my maps, particularly for individual buildings; Mage's Tower, Old Lighthouse, Laughing Tankard, etc.

Is this something you would like to see more of? Let me know in comments or Discord.

Have a great Friday and look out for our next release, The Underground Market, which will be released this weekend!

Cheers

Yes your isometrics are great - and it would be also amazing to have them on their own as well as included on a top down… excellent for handouts that allow for combat without implying it!

This is excellent as it is and doesn't need any changes. The only thing I could mention is that it doesn't immediately cry out that its a duergar structure; it could even be dwarven. You may prefer for it be more neutral in that regard, but if you wanted to make it even more duergar I would add more crude metal objects (iron spikes, gate, etc) or some fire (burning iron braziers, a glowing red window, etc). Many of their themes seem to involve menacing ironworks and lava-red fire. That said, it's great the way it is so I'm reluctant to even offer suggestions.

Having isometric drawings for my players is a super immersive complement to a top down map. Please do more!

The Lava treatment was a nice touch (Discord WIP) if some of you missed it... Join the Discord guys!

I think it is perfect to show players. It makes it easier for them to envision the 2D map as they play through the levels. Iso gets my yes vote!
