March Update is Finally Ready!

The Final Hours at Alderic Mansion

First of all, I’m really sorry for the wait.This was probably one of the most taxing updates I’ve worked on so far.

One thing about the different arcs in Just Bros is that they let me experiment with different storytelling styles, tones, and presentation. They give me room to take risks and try out new ways to tell the story—and I think this update reflects that quite a bit.

I’m honestly not sure whether it’ll be a hit or miss for everyone, but I genuinely did my best to create something that feels fresh, different, and memorable. Since this is the closing part of the supernatural arc, I felt like I really had to lean into the weirdness, chaos, and wackiness of it all.

That said, this update is also very story-focused.It wraps up a lot of lingering questions and plot threads you may have had, while also pushing forward some very important story progression for a certain character.

I’m also trying to put more emphasis on depth, especially when it comes to the main romance routes, so things will naturally begin progressing beyond just surface-level crushes and attraction.

After this arc, Just Bros will be returning to more grounded storylines again, so this update is very much the final big supernatural detour before things settle back into the more character-driven, everyday drama and romance.

I really can’t wait for you all to experience the final stretch of the Alderic Mansion arc.

Important Notes

The final part of this chapter is not part of the fun event but requires very high affection to view.

For this update, the affection requirement for this part has been greatly reduced so more players can access it.

This will revert back to normal in the next update, so take this as a temporary accessibility adjustment for now.

UI Changes

A few small UI improvements have also been added:

Week / Day and your Money ($$$) will now be displayed during gameplay

The relationship status screen is revamped

Music credits will now appear at the bottom-right of the screen.

Please Note

The Chapter 29 minigames will be reworked in the future.

For now, the Counting Bibs minigame has been completely removed as a temporary fix.

The entire sequence in Chapter 29 will be remade eventually, including both Minigame 1 and Minigame 2.

The orb mini game is so hard without a mouse 😭 Freaking looooove your work though. Keep it up!! 🥰

Haha yeah I was kinda hoping it would balance out a little. On smaller screens it’s definitely trickier, but at least you can tap multiple orbs at once, while on computer it’s easier to see everything but you can usually only click one orb at a time haha. Still, thank you so much!! 🥰 I’m really glad you’re enjoying it, and I appreciate you pushing through the suffering for the sake of the game 😭

Yeah, I had to grab a mouse I had in storage to play it on my laptop. Once I saw what it rewarded I needed those maximum points. 🥵

Even after I got mouse I thought the game was much too hard. It's sad I'll never get to see what happens

Thanks for the feedback. I may slightly lower the required max score in the next update. 2 tips is spam the mouse and for the 3rd stage , focus on thr heart or shield as they give double points (you should be able to accumulate 40% of the points in the last stage)

I play this on my computer that requires a mouse but unfortunately my screen for both computers uses a TV and so i cant even click enough to reach the minimum requirements. LOL. Going to try and reduce the image size of the game to see if it makes it easier to even get the minimum. Question...I see you need like 100 or something Ellis points or high points in others and i have several game saves that focus on each character relationships to see all the different out comes but even doing that i am not seeing the level of points i am seeing i need in the guides...am i missing something or are the points you gain aren't possible to what this newest update is requiring as the highest im getting is like 60 to 60 points when focused with each game when each game focus solely on one character?

Hi! Thanks so much for the feedback. I honestly didn’t fully take into account the different ways people would be playing the game, especially on more niche / less ideal setups. Because of that, I’ll be lowering the minigame requirement in the next update so it’ll be easier to achieve the max score. As for Ellis, this chapter has the highest Ellis affection requirement so far, since that part is very Ellis-story focused. Under normal conditions, the requirement is around 75% of the maximum affection you could have earned with him by this point in the game is temporarily lowered to around 20% just for this update, so more players will be able to view the scenario. As for the final minigame, it actually doesn’t give that many affection points if your Ellis affection is already high. It’s mainly there to help players who may not have been doing as well with Ellis up to this point. So basically, the lower your Ellis affection is, the more useful the minigame becomes if you manage to clear it. Hope that clears things up!
