I was going to say, it’s almost like Luke put up a subconscious dam that restricted the intake of mana. Or maybe I’m just hypothesizing too deeply into the lore.

It just occurred to me, what keeps happening to their wings? Are they able to transform their body to fit the situation? Obviously they can transform between their Demi and human form but can they change specific features? Is Luke doing it consciously or subconsciously so that the wings aren’t in the way? Kinda like how they instinctively made the shield during the mall brawl. I’m curious how the powers work. Great comic, Glad your back and feeling better!!

I’ve got so many questions of my own… for instance: Do all demihumans have the ability to shift between forms or just the ones that are “traditionally” associated with shape shifting? Who keeps society in check given that now there are- effectively- people with superpowers allowed to run amuck? What lies on the other side of the portals in the so-called dungeon? I can speculate to no end- and trust me, I am really speculating on a lot of the wider societal implications- which is why I really look forward to each page that’s released!🙂
