The argument by people who say that it "breaks canon" is really silly and borderline ignorant. I'll get into it later in the series, but if anything, especially for those who have read the Darth Plagueis novel (which I know is not technically canon, but this show borrows a lot from that book and it's one of the best SW books out there), it actually enhances it and adds a lot of interesting things when you look at what Palpatine was doing and his experiments during the Clone Wars era and such. A big gripe I have though is the character of Vernstra Rwoh, the master in the temple (same species as Bariss and Luminara). She's 116 in this, but in novels she's far more kind and upbeat, and they portray her here as scheming and kinda dark. Anyway, I'll get off the soapbox 🙂
