Yessir bro my weekly Dose Of BB

Jacob Plourde

In my opinion the Separatists worlds weren’t really bad. The way the Clone Wars portrayed them has always annoyed me. We saw the corrupt Republic senate from the perspective of the very few “good” senators (Padme, Bail Organa, and their allies), whilst we saw the separatists from the perspective of their evil droid army, and leaders (Dooku, Sidious, and Grievous). None of the separatists knew Dooku was evil and they simply saw him as the good Count of Sorenno. Most of the Separatist worlds were poor outer rim planets/systems abused by the republic. They lacked proper representation in the senate, while still being taxed and not being adequately protected from pirates, gangsters, etc. However in tcw we only really see the separatists as being large power hungry corporations like the Trade Federation, Techno Union, Banking Clan, etc who played both sides of the war. The Separatist cause appealed to a lot of people as a government that would treat them fairly, but of course we the audience know of its truly evil leadership.

Fun fact most Sepertist joined the war because of their respective planets, their people, and for their safety. Those that were useful to Dooku and Sidious were used more in the clone wars, like for example the geonosians who in the end were eliminated in rebels after the complete of the death star. Click clack was the last Geonosian to save his people. The fact that Sepertists used droids instead of actual beings is kinda a hint to how they viewed life. Still messed up though as droids had behaviour chips in them too so even if these droids felt any sense of fear in battle they couldn't act on it. My favorite comic about a rouge B1 battle droid had once saved Obi and Rex and went on to be a spy for the republic but there are other b1s that also have great stories like Mr bones a VERY dangerous b1 droid

"Live to fight another day" 😭💔 Now where have I heard that before...

I can't believe I didn't see the similarity before, especially since I'm an 80's baby... this feels so much like the A-Team. "In 19 BBY, a clone commando unit was decomissioned by the Empire for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a Kaminoan stockade to the galactic underground. Today, still wanted by the Empire, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... the Bad Batch."

Culper (Lukas)

The blue guy you saw playing Omega is called a Pantoran. If you remember in Clone Wars, we had a few episodes with these guys. One of them was with Chairman Papanoida and his son trying to find his two daughters, who were kidnapped by Greedo. In regards to Thrawn, barely anyone in the galaxy knows about his species. Thrawn's species is called "Chiss" and they are more towards the Unknown Regions of the Galaxy.

Your dead on. The bad batch was inspired by the A team when George was still running clone wars

To be fair Raxus committed sedition against the republic by becoming the capital of the separatist alliance. In any real world scenario, they’d occupy the f out of it as a part of the postwar

the clone wars literally showed the separatist senate being led by dooku and they agreed that corporations don’t rule them and proposed a peace treaty with the republic, then palpatine got grievous to bomb coruscant as an excuse not to make peace with them. did you forget that arc?

Jacob Plourde

Like I said, they didn’t know Dooku was a sith. They saw him as a noble leader with their best interests at heart. We had two episodes in the entire show showing the actual separatists and even then it didn’t do a good job a showing at why they separated. One episode of Tales of the Jedi did a better job showing why the separatists separated than the entire clone wars series.

you need to rewatch the arc when padme and ahsoka go to the separatist planet and ahsoka asks all these questions. there isn’t supposed to be one reason the separatists left it was literally orchestrated by palpatine to be confusing to both sides.
