Are you watching extended edition of Hobbit? If not is huge mistake. Second and most third need extended. For example in Third movie extended put to movie much much more action.

Rings of power?... Uh good luck Primate. I've probably said this before but star wars is actually my second love. Lord of the rings is something me and my family cherish the most. I grew up with this franchise and still watch it frequently. We like the hobbit trilogy almost as much as the original trilogy. If you know the lore around Gandalf and the other characters it would blow your mind. I would be a shield maiden of Rohan because I love my horses. I love Radagast the brown because he's a kindred spirit. Animals are the best when you want to love the world. ❤️ The spiders are shelob's babies (the big spider in lord of the rings) but wait till you see their grandma.

My dude you gotta check out the extended. Even just on your own

I personally love these movies. That being said, the Hobbit book was originally a single book. The decision to turn it into a trilogy definitely was an odd one. They added a lot of things to these movies that were not in the book, just to extend their runtime. So you can understand why people would be upset about that. I do think some things they added was definitely a good decision, some things they added just for fanservice, which is fun but unnecessary. Another complaint about these movie is the heavy reliance on CGI, where LOTR used more practical effects, especially around the Orc designs and such. I think they are definitely not as good as the LOTR movies but they’re entertaining, have some really amazing moments and even though I have some problems with it, I love to rewatch them, Desolation of Smaug is one of my favorite movies since watching it in the Theater in 2014.

I know Sir Ian Mckellen cried because it was completely different than how he acted in LOTR. Having most of his lines done alone on a green screen, he missed how it used to be done. 😭A sad Gandalf makes me sad

I watched all three movies in the theater when they came out, I was 9 during this one, but still. I've always loved them, this one almost more than one of the Lord of the Rings movies. A lot of people say that the dwarves weren't that interesting, but I love Balin, Thorin, and Bofur, and the others do a good job too. The trolls had a small appearance in Lord of the Rings when Aragorn's girlfriend shows up (forgot her name) after Frodo gets stabbed in Fellowship. Even if you don't watch the extended edition of this movie, please check out Bofur's Song and Bofur lying to the goblin king scenes, they are great, even if kinda pointless. There are alot of scenes that add to the film, be that with comedy or helping stitch the plot together. Lastly, I do think that the Dwarves' fight music is my favorite soundtrack in any fantasy film or show, maybe with the Rains of Castamere from Game of Thrones up there with it. That's about all I had to say, but I'm keeping my eye out for the hundred dollar tier on here...

I would be a hobbit. All I need to do all day is drunk, smoke weed, and not give a fuck what is happening outside
