Ahsoka training by being surrounded by Clones. Wonder if that situation will ever pop up for her in life...

Episode 5 is perfection. I cried too much watching that.

Anakin saved her from Order 66 because he didn’t follow the Jedi way of training. He saved her from the the same event that he helped to bring about. Filoni really knows how to stab us in the heart with these stories. 😭 Also love episode 6. We see in Rebels how she took down those Inquisitors so easily, meanwhile Ezra and Kanan really had to work together to try to take them down and they were definitely struggling.

Ashoka's fake name, Ashla, actually has meaning to it and we got a touch of it in Mandalorian S2. From StarWars.com: "The term “Bogan'' was first used in a draft of Star Wars: A New Hope and meant “evil,” while its counterpart, “Ashla,” meant good." In legends, it also had to do with the planet "Tython", which is the planet that Grogu + Mando went to in S2. It used to be the first world of where the Jedi began, but that changed when the Sequels came out.

While I still thought the fifth episode was great, it still doesn’t hold a candle to the fourth episode imo. Episode 4 managed to turn Dooku, who in the Clone Wars came off as a typical, cartoonish bad guy, that was blindly loyal to Palpatine, into a complex, sympathetic, and tragic character. The fifth episode, to me, just felt like deleted scenes from the Clone Wars with a clever ending.

1. The Kid while Ashoka Training in 5Th Episode is Kanan and his Master Depa Billaba 2. Jesse is the one Ashoka had to fight in clonewars finale..

EP6: 1. Ashla is the name of Light side of the force... Which is her decoy name 2. Ashoka purifies this Inquistor Lightsaber and it's what she uses in Rebels...

The Dooku stuff added more to canon by giving us backstory time with a character that needed it; Ahsoka’s story is well known but her episodes still had that automatic goosebump effect, with spectacular action. This show did so much, so little, in such a short amount of time….watching it next to BOBF is rough. The energy and care put in to the two shows is so different.

This series was really good overall, but, as much as I like Ahsoka, she didn’t need to be one of the main characters of this. She was basically the main character of Clone Wars, appeared in a lot of Rebels, and still has her own show coming up. Literally the only thing this show did for Ahsoka’s character was give some context to how she was able to survive order 66. Instead of Ahsoka, they should have gone with a jedi like Plo Koon, Quinlan Vos, Aayla Secura, or Kit Fisto, all of whom are lacking in content in the Disney canon. Having also read the Dooku novel I felt that his episodes did a much better job standing on their own and properly building on what happened in the book. Tales episode 6 was basically a cheap, abridged knockoff and retcon of the Ahsoka novel.

Ahsoka purifies the Kyber crystals from the Inquisitor saber and turns them white. This is in essence taken from the Ahsoka novel and explains how she got her white sabers.

I would’ve liked for the duel to be a little bit longer. I get that Ahsoka is powerful, but she’s not that powerful at this point. This inquisitor would’ve been a former Jedi knight.

ItsAPrimate

I mean, this is still post clone wars where most of her training did take place so idk about her not being that strong at this point, plus just because they're a former Jedi knight doesn't mean they're top tier like Obi Wan or Yoda level so to speak.

She didn’t have a lightsaber so I’m not sure how it would’ve even been possible for it to be longer

Jacob Plourde

She didn’t have a lightsaber in the Ahsoka novel, but that duel lasted much longer.

Leesha

But the fact that anakin unconsciously trained ahsoka for order 66 is insane. He's the reason why she survived

I won't lie I cried very hard with Ahsoka's training episode. Rex marching out with Ahsoka as his "prisoner" just gave me so many emotions and flashbacks to season 7. 😭💔❤ Jessie whyyyyyyy???? Next episode opens up with Padme's funeral and. Fuck.. *starts sobbing* both in frustration and sadness I'm a little disappointed that the 6th brother is now a one n done villian but still cool we get to see him even for a sec. Personally think this should have either been a full episode or a 2 parter short so we could have developed his character more and how she got his kyber crystals. In the book he's very fleshed out and a very competitive villain. I'll have to go read the Ahsoka novel again Tales of the jedi is actually a ledgens comic btw

My guy I just recently sat down to read the ROTS novel. First few pages broke me with Obi hashing things out... Spoiler territory. Definitely a worth the read into the hidden mind set you wouldn't get from the movies and George personally worked on them Look I know Vader and Anakin are two different personalities but we gotta remember Anakin and Vader are the SAME being in the end.

This is why you’re the GOAT Prime, you always just get it. Episode 5 was my personal favorite as well, and I watched most of the reactions that were on YT but was pretty disappointed to see most did not like the episode as much or seemed to miss the significance of the episode beyond the Order 66 stuff. Getting to see the bonds formed between Anakin, Ahsoka and the 501st is always beautiful and heart-wrenching. Collectively they are the heart and soul of Star Wars to me, at least in the Prequel Era. I love that you share the same appreciation for them and I knew Ep. 5 would be your favorite. Great reaction bro, keep being you!!

I never personally saw Dooku as a straight up typical blind bad guy, could always tell there was more there

Clark

These episodes are great but your dog looking directly into the camera at the end is the best haha!

How’s your love for Ahsoka now Primate? I sense She climbed your list of favorite characters even further
