Fun fact before andor came out every character book from rogue one said cassian came from the planet fest this is just insaane level of detail for the showrunners to go so far to bring it up as a detail in the series

Also the people from the spaceship that went down on kenari had the seperatist CIS Crest on their shoulders

The show's creators purposefully made the decision not to include Kenari subtitles in Andor, just like George Lucas did with several alien languages. It puts more of an emphasis on the viewer to decipher what is happening based on the body language and movements of the children, as well as the inflection of their voices and their actions that follow.

This show barely uses the volume and avoids green screens as much as possible. For ferrix they built 3 full city blocks and most of the buildings have full interiors filled with props. Actors have said that they've gotten lost on that set.

Also with Kenari the mining disaster happened before the flashback everyone we see is late teens at the oldest. It is definitely implied that all of the adults died and the children were just left to fend for themselves. It also takes place pre-empire it sorta shows some more continuity between the empire and republic in how corrupt and shady they could be a lot like how tales of the Jedi did. Also xan calling it an imperial mining disaster even though it happened during the republic shows how the general public considers both empire and republic to be essentially the same thing.
