I see they remembered the scars on Ezra's left cheek. Also, I've seen it suggested that the "chainmail" tunic under Ezra's robes is comprised of stormtrooper dog tags which, if true, would indicate that he'd had more than a few run-ins since arriving in the other galaxy (certainly immediately upon arrival, I doubt his departure from Thrawn's ship was on amicable terms). I can definitely see Shin's potential to turn now... Sent off on her own by her master who seemed like he had little intention of seeing her again, abandoned by Thrawn who no longer had a use for her. She's alone, facing potential stranding, with Ahsoka saying "You don't have to be alone"... an expression of Anakin's final lesson, to move beyond being the soldier the Clone Wars trained her to be, to become a peacekeeper.

19:02 I 100% agree. Basically every Dave Filoni Star Wars project is that same way. Rebels, Clone Wars, kind of the bad batch all start out a little bit meh but by the end they’re top tier shows. Filoni always has a great story planned out but to reach its full potential he dedicates those early episodes to character/story building so that when you get to the end it hits even harder
