Treasury Tuesday - Blooming Bulwark (Patreon)

Sadly, I'm going to need to hold off on the art for Treasury Tuesday for a bit. It's cutting too much into the funds that would be getting used for commissioning monsters and the like. If you want to see the return of art for these, be sure to lure some more folk into the fold so I have that funding!

Anyway, more specific to this item - the blooming bulwark is actually something I originally designed for one of my homebrew campaigns. I had a player that wanted to play a thorns build using the vibrant thorns, but struggled to make it work. This was meant to facilitate that and make the thorns more effective. I was actually talking with that player about making a higher-leveled version of this item, but the only effect that would have is increasing the max charges of the item. Assuming that applying reinforcing runes to an item also increases that item's level, I think I don't really need to do that.
