"There was a family. The Hills. Good folk that had been in the land long before I came to it," the dwarven smith explained, his mood somber and pensive. "Some years ago, longer for you short-lived folk, they had a daughter Callie. She was a sweet thing, came up with one of my boys. Was even sweet on him for a bit."

He paused, eyes misting with memories of those lost before he took a shuddering breath and forced himself to keep speaking. "She ended up falling in love with and marrying a boy from the Mae family. Had some children of her own. A son. Two daughters. They lived not too far away and we'd have them over for dinner, for holidays. Until..."

There was another break in his speech before he could continue. "She came to me with her family's scythe. I had touched it up before, made sure that it could function as a tool. But she needed it as a weapon. And I was more than happy to help with that. At the time. I shouldn't have. I didn't know how long she would have carried out her vengeance, but she has been carving a path through anybody tangentially related to her loss. If you can stop her, if you can . . . maybe, maybe she can be helped."

GHOST TOWN [MODERATE 7]

Callie is consumed by rage and is a shell of her former self who hunts people from the empire that killed her family. Her efforts have earned her the reputation of a slasher and mad murderess, regarded with the epithet of 'Harvest Queen.' Depending how the heroes decide to face her, they may find her when she's in a cooldown of a killing or in the midst of one. The Ghost Town map is probably the best option for this with her having tracked a victim there or taking shelter there before carrying on. She operates alone though if you want a more difficult encounter, you could include an animal or elemental that she controls with her druidic powers.

Creatures: Callie Mae takes shelter in one of the central buildings while resting, but she remains on watch. If she's attacked while in the middle of her own attack, she still tries to focus on her primary target, and will only focus on the heroes if they directly intercede. In a fight, Callie uses her magic whenever she can take advantage of grouped up foes but also makes liberal use of her scythe. Once she's activated its Cycle the Seasons, she makes use of her Seasonal Spell ability to make the most of her spells and effects.
