Hi Everyone!

Hope you've all had a great weekend. I have some art progress to show on making the new Trap art assets. Let's take a look!

1: What's New?

All of this week has been spent in photoshop working on the many layered art assets that will go into Unity to play out the new wall trap event.

As I've explained a few times before. Artwork for animation that gets exported to unity takes about 2-4x longer to make then a single flat image because you have to first sketch out the image and idea. Then layer it, and then keep everything organized into folders and layer groups for each part of the characters body part, clothing, and items around them that will animate independently. (eg: The ticklers, the ears, the breasts. Etc!)

Here's two renders showing off how all those layers look at the moment:

This also shows that that much like my other animations, they'll be a few variations that will randomize to make it more unique each time you encounter the animation!

2: What's Next?

Next week is more solid hours in photoshop to complete these art assets. Things like shading and effects need to be created as well! Once they've been created and prepared for export they'll be then imported into Unity to be Rigged for animating.

Cheers!

Solid work! I really love the idea of the trap, One idea that came to mind, and I hope it wouldn't be a bother, is that one of the floor tiles could be a trap: if the player doesn't move within a certain amount of time, the tile falls away and triggers a minigame where some devices grab their ankles and tickle the soles of their feet while they're hanging upside down. Sorry for my English, it's not my first language! Greetings from Spain!
