Hello! Here’s the early access to the new roleplay.Like some of the older videos, this one was a real challenge in many ways, and there were many moments of doubt (« What am I doing? Isn’t that scene too much? Am I being ridiculous pretending to be a knight at my age? »…)All in all, I'm pretty proud of what I've achieved and it turned out to be close to my initial vision, but once again I've felt the limits of what I can do on my own (with the help of my husband at times - putting on the armour alone is simply impossible). For once, the set was quite simple though! Anyway, I hope you’ll enjoy it, as well as the 2 guests’ cameo featured in the video 😊Please note that I'm aware of the potentially anxiety-provoking moments in the intro and outro, so I'll also be providing a 100% relaxing version on the channel if you're interested :)

A making-of video will be up on Patreon next week!

Have a lovely day or night 😀

Indoora World 🍂 The Cottage Library

What a treat!! I will watch this tonight! You are far from ridiculous, my dear Diane, you are brave, creative, inspiring and kind to share your talents and imagination with all of us. We are grateful for your art and hard work! 🤎

Katie Simon

Woooow. I’m only at the intro and this is epic. I love it! Have you read any Tamora Pierce books?

Ro Schum

Can’t wait to watch the video, this is going to be brilliant!

Courtney D

The intro is so cinematic! I love the detail of the moss in your braid.

Charlotte Clark

Brilliant. I love the stories you come up with. and the attention to detail. Did I detect a bit of the green eyed monster in the character?

JoannaG

Stunning! Brilliant! Perfect! I absolutely love the storyline, and your attention to detail is unmatched. Please let go of any doubts! Bravo! Thank you, Diane!

KatStar13

I can't wait to watch this after work

Marge Ramsey

Oh Diane…this was epic! The only thing I didn’t like was that….it ended! I wanted to savor every second… your face and especially your eyes are so full of expression! I wanted to strap on the armor and grab a sword and join you! As always, you’re so meticulous to detail….every single sound is magnified. I could almost feel the breath of the horse, and the rustling of the leaves under foot. I just don’t even have enough words! Yes, I’ll be watching this one a million times as well! You’re a little too hard on yourself because it was perfection! Every single character you create is phenomenal and we fall in love with them each time.

Josefine Andersen

This was amazing!! The whole story was great! It's one of those stories where you just want to hear more! I would love to see the Knight again, but meeting her at her farm where she retired! Maybe she is telling us some of her warstories! 🤩

Sophie Rose

You took on this challenge so well, Diane! I especially love the shot looking up at the trees during the cart ride :)

Thebagfather46

always great to see new stuff from you. your hard work is worth the patrion charge on its own .now to relax while watching

Scott Farley

Diane, I have watched your videos for years now. I have made some long comments at times praising your effort and work. I am grateful to be a Patreon and contribute the small amount that I do so that you can give us these gifts that you produce. If I could do more, I would. I am simply at a loss for words after watching this. I am sure hundreds of others will articulate to you what we all feel. You are a Special Woman and I wish you all the success in your endeavors. I will always be cheering for you.

Jake Field

Oh Diane. The way you challenge your boundaries and yet instinctively know what you want. You turn your uncertainties into a masterpiece. You look great in the armour too. So atmospheric and slightly dark too. Be proud of what you've achieved. You are a star and our heroine xx💘

Belles Cuisses D'Homme

Merci beaucoup

Martha Brody

Wonderful as always! And I know it was heavy and uncomfortable, but you looked great in your armor. Your creativity seemingly knows no bounds. I wonder who you will be next? Whoever it is, I know you will bring another character to life in the same faithful and meticulous way.

moonlightcottageASMR

Thank you! I must say it was totally unintentional, although I thought the same at some points when editing the video ("Congratulations I guess" 😅). But after all, I thought it added a nice ambiguity to the character :)

Sarah Camino

The intro was giving me nostalgia for the opening Skyrim cart scene. Thank you for your incredible work❤️

Katie Simon

She's a YA novelist with lots of good female heroine (and lady knight) stories! I was wondering if this drew anything from her Protector of the Small series that starts with "First Test," but the book "Alanna: The First Adventure" is the first one of hers set in the world and an old school classic - that's probably the place to start.

Sophietje

This was (is) an absolute treat to watch and listen to! It felt like we landed into a world that I want to learn everything about!! I really do hope she gets the retirement she’s dreaming of. Thank you for this amazing video 💕

Arria Deepwater

That was just so good!! You really should feel deeply proud of yourself 💕 I can picture one of your servant role plays with the armour, mail, under-clothings — the whole kit — inventorying & inspecting, cleaning & polishing, prepping, maybe trying a piece or two on and imagining a different life.

Ruth M

This video touched my very soul, and I’m not sure quite why. It simply triggered something so deep within, a memory perhaps. The first 4 minutes, and the outro with you back in your armour, these sections bought tears to my eyes. I am so moved at your acting and the artistry in this video. It’s not just every detail you include, but how as works of art there’s nothing ever extraneous in your creations, just simply perfect, inspired storytelling. I don’t know about the King, but I would gladly follow the Lady Knight anywhere!

Dr Ms Kat

Oh - I know the voice of the king! That's Fred!

Ewan Neff

Wow…I’m so impressed by your writing and acting of the dialog in this one. And so many beautiful and soothing sounds. Thank you!

Melissa55

This was so amazing. I got a sense of the character’s feelings - a touch of envy that this knight was riding beside the King, lots of courage, a resignation that this will be the last battle and perhaps glad it will be. The dialogue, the sets, the attention to detail, all were magnificent. So many others have said it better, but I will say this was absolutely a masterpiece. Well done!

xraysalad

Lovely video, and it was amazing how much work you put into it! Thanks for making it!

Khattab artist

That was a wonderful experience, thank you! :)

Max

Every time you surprise me with another amazing idea and an awesome video to go along with it. Thank you!

Emm

This is truly magnificent. Many scenes seem like they could have been straight out of a movie

Danielle Mosley

You're never too old to be a knight! I have to ask though, how did you get the shots for the cart journey? I'm giggling just imagining you dragging a camera on a skateboard or something though a park! Just nonchalant "don't mind me, just filming ASMR" 😆

moonlightcottageASMR

Thank you Danielle! Actually I took my wheelbarrow into the forest and simply put the camera in it :p
