Hi there !So here is a video I’ve had in mind for quite a long time. This is an experimental one, only made for Patreon.

I hope you’ll enjoy it 🙂It was recorded in the 16th century chapel near my house, a beautiful building with an amazing original framework. I had the feeling that it could be a beautiful spot for the Lady of the manor, since religion played a big part in people’s lives at this time (let’s say around 1500). I tried to work on the aesthetics / emotional aspect and that might take me away from the ASMR aspect.

Let me know what you think, and have a great Sunday ! 😃

Loved this so much! Need more! Your work is exquisite!

Marge Ramsey

Please please please do a sequel!!! We are dying to know who he is. This was awesome and already I know this will be a favorite. I keep going back to this time and again! Please! 😊

Catherine Creecy

This must surely join the Enchanted Tearoom as a favorite. Beautifully done.

Charlotte Booth

This was great and that dress was beautiful! But who is he???

Ali Czar

I wish it be longer and more sound effect with Chants .. may be organ

Rachie

Your dress and hair piece are giving me Drew Barrymore Ever After vibes.

moonlightcottageASMR

This is a public building so I couldn't stay very long. It required 2 hours in there to get a final 5mn video :) And I understrand about the sound effects, but organ would not have been very credible since these instruments are huge and only made for churches or cathedrals, usually not found in chapels.

swarms

Without the slightest exaggeration, a masterpiece. Sublime.

Paul Ransley

Wow 💙 Loving your RP's that provide an insight to periods and characters. Hope you do more of these. Thank you !

Coral F.

This is amazing, Diane! The quality of your work doesn't have limits. Did you record the sound in that moment or you added it later? If that is the case I couldn't even tell, it's perfectly in sync!

Paige

Love it! If you don't have a lot of time to be there - Maybe you could record some parts in the chapel and then record the closeups in your studio? Definitely would like to see another one like this :)

Rhiannon Hutchinson

This is FABULOUS, Diane!!! Your gown is beautiful, the pearled hair net is fit for a queen, the church evokes a strong sense of history and atmosphere, the shots are SO well-composed...and as a writer, I'm busy dreaming up the story of these two characters - what's happened between them and what has not happened. But I'm curious as to why you don't plan to share this with the public. That is TOTALLY up to you, and you should do what feels right...but for what it's worth, I think this is a polished, brilliant little gem, and the world would enjoy it as much as we patrons do. But again, you should do what makes you comfortable. Thank you for sharing this with us, and keep trusting and following your instincts to more creativity and more experiments! :) <3

Thank you for this truly beautiful video! The story leaves us with questions such as, who was the man and why did he interrupt the Lady's prayers? While we would all love to see more, if you do intend for it to be a stand-alone piece, it is a lovely treat that inspires imagination. To answer your last sentence, the ASMR aspect was not diminished in any way, at least for me, as more than one of my own favorite triggers were present. Your ability to combine aesthetics/emotion, cinematography, and ASMR is unmatched. I also share your appreciation of the chapel; the architectural history buff in me is intrigued and I wonder if there is a video tour or written history of the building available somewhere online.

Scott Farley

I understand you have your reasons for only releasing this video here, but in my humble opinion you have touched on something all should see. It IS a History lesson and the video transports people back to that time. It's like the wonder of reading. You read a book written hundreds of years ago by someone long since passed and suddenly His or Hers words reach out and touch the present and touch you. Your videos accomplish that, at least for me anyway. That's why I was so zealous in the comments on your videos. I wish you would share it with everyone but understand if you do not.

Vicky

Love your sense of details, your aesthetics! This chapel is beautiful, I understand why you wanted to create something in there! I'm not disappointed and can't wait to see what you'll offer next with the Lady of the manor :) Great Sunday for you too!

KatStar13

This is beautiful. The angles, the lighting, the sound. Just all of it.

moonlightcottageASMR

Thanks Corie ! The entire video was dubbed, there was no way I could record directly due to the surroundings sounds (especially the storm that was raging !) :)

moonlightcottageASMR

Thank you Paige ! This is a good idea, but it would have been very difficult to recreate the same light. But I might think about it next time :)

moonlightcottageASMR

As always thank you so much for your kind words ! There are 2 reasons why I wouldn't share it on the main channel : first, making exclusive content is a way to thank the people who support me, and second, the subject of the video might be a bit delicate and would probably attract many trolls on youtube, and this is something I do not wish :)

moonlightcottageASMR

Thank you Lee Anne ! I've just checked if there is any video about this chapel but found none. It's not a very famous one. And yes this will probably be a stand-alone, but we never know... ;)

moonlightcottageASMR

Thank you Scott ! There are a few reasons why I keep it for patrons only (you can read my answer to Rhiannon), but I'm very glad you enjoyed it :)

Scott Farley

That is so sad that the "subject matter" is a sensitive topic. But then I remind myself of the day and age we are in were it is in fashion to be offended by praying.

Scott Farley

Oh no. I was so caught up in the set and time period I missed the deeper implications of your short story. While it being open to the individual as far as meaning goes, when I let the scene inside my head, my jaw dropped. I had to watch it three times and each time it became more and more deeply intense. Was the Man the Ladies Husband? A Friend? Or even a Son who was thought to be missing in a War? The fact that possibly the prayer was answered is up to each of us watching. Wonderful short scene and I hope others catch it also.

Mike McCutchen

Well now I need to know behind the line "Please, Lord, send him back to me." Such a good hook for potential world-building.

Annie

Exceptional!! It did not take away from the ASMR aspect at all. My brain went totally 🥴. I hope you do more of these. I absolutely loved it.

Mid Mod Meridian ASMR

I haven’t the words to express how hauntingly beautiful this is. The unintelligible whispers, the rosary beads, the pages and binding of the old prayer book, the rustling of your silk dress . . . this is all top shelf ASMR. But then the concept, the location, the cinematography, the expert dubbing of all those sounds. Truly remarkable. You have such a gift. I’d love to see you make a feature film one day. I’d invest in that. Bravo!! And thank you, sincerely. sherri 💚

Rachel Dikovics

Just wonderful, as always!! I’m continually amazed by your talent and the immersive quality of your videos. Thank you!

Janine Spendlove

This was beautiful! Thank you for making and sharing. 💕

Amanda Ferguson

This reminded me of when I was little and stayed with my grandparents during the summer and falling asleep to both of them saying the rosary before bed.

Lindsey Prevost

I LOVE this, Diane. I’ve never seen anything like it. I’m Catholic and so many early ASMR experiences of mine were associated with mass, quiet times before and after services, confession, watching my great grandmother say her rosary as a child, etc. I would love this in a expanded format for sure!

Scott Farley

At the end a Man did come in the Church. Question is, who was he?

Valkyria

Wow, I feel so honored to have the privilege to watch this! What a work of art! And it’s indiscernible that you dubbed all the sound after, it’s flawless!!! Great, fantastic, wonderful job! 😁

Bobby

Hello Diane, wow what an amazing concept. I remember you posting the pictures of this a while ago. It’s a very nice setting, I’m so excited to see it.

Karen

So wonderful Diane! The sounds were great - shoes on stone, rustling dress, page turning. Beautifully filmed.

Fran

Aaaaah - who came in at the end?! It's a cliffhanger. Some shots were like a renaissance painting, and the color of the dress was beautiful. The initial music was beautiful although then I had to turn the volume up to hear the sounds, which were tingly. The opening door sound at the end was excellent, sharp metal but not too sharp. One question, I don't really know, but would people at that time have dressed so beautifully for church, or would they have been expected to come in dressed more humbly? Thank you for posting this, and making it for Patreon only was a special treat, although now I feel maybe those on youtube could get a clip of this to enjoy and to see the benefits of Patreon:)

Lorraine

Absolument magnifique ! <3

moonlightcottageASMR

Thanks Fran ! It's a good question actually ! I think they might come to church with beautiful dresses, but probably with something on their shoulders to hide skin.

Mare Luna

Magnificent! I'm in awe of your work! 🥰

Triple Crescent Studios

I am so glad you showed the ceiling. I adore Medieval church ceilings. And I think it works very well as an ASMR with the page turning. Beautiful imagery.

Heather Leffert

This was incredible! The costuming and colors. The sounds and absence of sound had me engaged. The setting was beautiful!

Grace

Everything is so incredibly beautiful! My favorite shot is the close up when the door opens, such a beautiful shot! 💞

Inés Ramos

Who's the man at the end? I need to knowwwww. I think it's her forbidden lover. hahaha

Ineke

Fantastique! What a cliffhanger! Can't wait to see the sequel❤️

gewelz

I cant believe im only seeing this now. The opening scene was of such high quality that I thought I was watching the beginning of an actual in-theater, high production value film. The image and sound quality are really on another level. This time period is one I adore, and the location, lighting, and costume combine to make something compelling, intriguing, and beautiful. It goes without saying I hope you flesh this out into something longer. This video is where ASMR and art have truly combined to transcend the sum of their parts. You took it to another echelon and I can't wait to follow you there.

Chantal

Lovely and beautiful. The ceiling of this chapel is amazing. Its scupltures are equally odd and stunning. It would be a perfect location for a Halloween video :) Your work perfectly highlights its beauty. I loved all the sounds. I even think I may have hold my breath a bit in anticipation of her dress soft sound when she gets up !
