Hello there,

Here's the early access to the roleplay I've been working on these past weeks!Some scenes were obviously inspired by « the girl with a pearl earring » movie (which often inspires me since it has many unintentional asmr scenes).

I’d be very happy to know your thoughts about this rolelay.I enjoyed the prep a lot, especially as a former painter, but just like a few others RPs the final video is not really what I had in mind, and I don't know what to think about it.Maybe the no-talking parts are too long? (And the fact that the light, hair and makeup were not really flattering probably affected my self-confidence during the filming sessions 😅).

Love this so much! Right up in my top 3 of your RP films now 😍 And maybe bc I’m a painter myself but I really do love the mixing of colour and brushstrokes on the canvas and all the non-talking parts. Also the idea ”you are the painting” is amazing!

Greetings, Diane - I had to work as I watched this, so I mostly listened rather than viewed it. I wasn't sure I could relate to it, since I'm THE least-artistic person on the face of the planet. But I really enjoyed the sounds, especially the brushing and scraping ones, and when I was able to peek at the picture, I found it was really interesting to see how the paint was being applied. So my overall sense is that this is: 1) a relatively rare and welcome variation in the usual ASMR content I've seen; 2) full of VERY nice, soothing sounds; 3) spoken at the right volume and speed; and 4) a great experiment for you, to see how non-artists will respond. The ONLY thing I would change - if it's possible - is to fade out on a final shot of the finished painting. I really want to see it!!! Thank you for a lovely, interesting, calming video with fabulous production values...as is your wont. The lighting, hair, and makeup all seem absolutely flawless to me! :D

Thank you for being so enthusiastic Rhiannon! But... It does fade out on a final shot of the painting. Do you mean it's too short? To be honest this isn't a very interesting painting and I'm not very proud of it so I didn't want to focus too much on it.

This was wonderful! The quiet brushstrokes were the tingliest for me! But I loved everything about it. Now if only it were longer lol ❤️❤️❤️

I enjoyed this very much! I feel it’s the perfect blend of all the different sounds, talking, inaudible, mixing the paint, etc. It had a little bit of everything! I had to go back and watch the end again as I didn’t notice the painting in the background. I was going to comment that I would have liked to see the finished product as we watched you paint it 😁 I think the shot of the painting could have been a little closer and a little longer, but, overall, another wonderful video!!

I managed to miss the painting entirely the first time! I was even WATCHING for it, but my eyes went to the brushes and then to the icons on the left for your other videos. On my screen, the painting is pretty small, out of focus, and only seen for a second or two....so I personally would end the video with the painting in the center of the screen and larger. I know you aren't especially proud of it, but I think you're too hard on yourself, because from what I can see, it's beautiful.

Absolutely incredible 🥰🥰🥰 what an amazing theme. And the sounds are tingling to the utmost. Diane, you did it again. And you look stunning as always. Perfectly fitting the artist who is focused on the work rather then to have ton of make up. So to me you are perfect here. As always. One request: to do non talking ASMR in this theme or unintelligible whispers etc would be great. Went to look, found none 😳 Lots of those ”painting your face” yes but those I strongly dislike. As all doing your makeup -videos too. And then I found something quite traumatizing! Spit painting! 🤮🤮🤮 It seems to be popular and I just don’t get it, who wants to imagine some random strangers spit on their face??? People are so weird 😂 So this seems to be the only video in the whole universe that does ”you are the painting” right! Thank you for creating it!

I loved the muller crushing and mixing the pigments. Also thought you looked just fine, your usual lovely self. Maybe some daubs of paint on your face or in your hair?😆

Lovely video. I love the talking bits. The brush sounds on the canvas don't really work for me, but that's personal obviously. I do hear a bit of a buzzing sound in the background from time to time. A bit like there's a washing machine running somewhere nearby. I guess that's some kind of outside influence you can't really do anything about.

Thanks. I don't hear those buzzing sounds personaly, it was perfectly quiet when I recorded, so it might be when there are 2 layered audio tracks so white noise is twice louder. Or maybe my camera? It's getting old and I noticed it does some high-pitch sounds sometimes. Nothing to do but to buy a new one here ^^

It was a pretty low sound and not very loud. I probably only heard it because I was using headphones.

Ah, I know. I think it's my sleeves that were rubbing on the mics from time to time. I could clearly see those sounds on the audio spectrum but couldn't hear them with my headphones, so yes it probably depends on the headphones. I'll take care of this more seriously next time, thanks for letting me know :)

That was wonderful. Every brushstroke and mixing sound was so relaxing. The visuals were beautiful! Can you post a picture of the painting? The shot of it was too brief at the end. I could tell it was beautiful!❤️🖼️

Thank you so much for the links! I especially loved the second one, also an asmr artist I hadn’t discovered before. And the …special one! I love it! Not something I would have found on my own. But even after seeing these, yours is far superior! It’s a work of art on its own right.

I just thought of a possible solution. You might be able to filter out the low noises with a high-pass filter.

I'm not a tingles-sensitive person i'm afraid so i can't say about that, but the sounds were really relaxing. I loved the ones of the brushes ! I don't thougt that the non-talking part were too long, on the contrary, but i think i was more on a mood for non-talking video when i watched it. The simple costume and make-up were perfect for the part of this simple paintress. You brighten as the video goes and it goes well with the story. I would love to hear what you had in mind for the video.
